Ok, I felt compelled to prompt this, b/c the art made me cry. I might regret this, but Varian trapped in amber and Hugo being a desperate boi.🥺
Oooooh! This one is a good prompt alright. And I know exactly which art you’re talking about ;)
Anyway, let’s do this.
------
“Hairstripe, please.” Hugo was growing desperate.
Ever since he came back from the Expo, saying the Princess tasked him with figuring out those black rocks, the younger alchemist was focused solely on that. He was neglecting sleep, forgetting to eat and drink. If it wasn’t for both Hugo and Ruddiger’s efforts, he would cease to do it completely, working himself to death.
“No, Hugo. I am so close to figuring it out, I know it!” Varian argued, mixing yet another chemical in the beaker.
“I want to get rid of those rocks as much as you do, but this is getting ridiculous!” Hugo tried to reason, throwing his hands out. “You’re going to get sick at this point. And wasn’t it you who told me to get some rest if I can’t figure something out?”
“Hugh, the Princess asked me specifically to find a way to destroy those black rocks.” Varian replied, placing the beaker over the fire and watching it boil. “And I just know this one will get some kind of reaction.”
Hugo sighed in resignation. He knew Varian ever since they were kids. He was so stubborn there was no way to persuade him if he got an idea. He leaned over one of the rocks and looked at his childhood friend.
“Just promise you’ll get some rest afterwards.” He asked and Varian hummed in response.
The younger alchemist turned around, beaker in his hand, and approached the cluster of rocks that, conveniently, sprouted in his lab. All the easier to experiment on them without going outside.
“Okay, are you ready?” The raven-haired teen asked and Hugo chuckled at how excited he sounded. He motioned for his friend to continue and they both stared as Varian carefully tipped the beaker, pouring a single drop onto the cluster.
Suddenly the whole building shook and, startled, Varian poured almost half of the compound on the rocks.
“What was that?!” Hugo cried, trying to stabilise himself. The younger alchemist ran to the window and looked outside.
“Uh, another rocks just sprouted. It looks like they destroyed Mrs. Galway’s barn.” He explained before turning around, his face suddenly paling. “Hugo, watch out!”
Before the blond could react, Varian barrelled into him and he was sent flying, away from the black rocks. He groaned, as his back hit the workbench and massaged the hurt spot.
“Hairstripe, what in the-!” Words died in his throat at the sight before him.
From the black rock cluster he was leaning on just moments ago, gold substance, seemingly reminding of amber was growing. What was even more terrifying, Varian’s arm was stuck in it, the boy struggling restlessly to free himself.
“Varian!” He cried and rushed to his friend, only to be stopped by his warning shouts.
“Don’t come closer! We’ll both get stuck!” Varian cried, tugging on his arm but to no avail. Hugo’s eyes were darting between the growing amber and the workbench.
“Wha- How- I... I’m gonna get Quirin!” The teen suddenly decided and bolted out of the lab, not paying attention to Varian’s shouts to leave his dad out of it.
He shot out of the main door and looked around frantically. Quirin was nowhere to be seen so he ran towards the main square, hoping to find the man there. He spotted him almost instantly, talking to one of the villagers.
“QUIRIN!!” He shouted, running up to the man, who turned to him in puzzlement.
“Hugo? What’s going on?” He asked, noticing the hurry the teen was in. “Did something happen?”
“Varian! He’s- You have to go with me!” Hugo tried explaining, desperation in his voice.
Quirin didn’t question, noticing the way the blond was acting. He just hoped his son wasn’t too much hurt. The boy was a trouble magnet.
They ran back to the house and down the stairs to the lab.
“Quickly, maybe we still can-!” Hugo pushed the door open and froze, staring at the sight in the middle of the room.
“Hugo, what’s going- VARIAN!” Quirin pushed the teen away and ran inside, arms reaching forward.
The black rocks cluster was no more. In its place rose a gold amber structure, rising to the roof. And inside, smiling calmly, was Varian.
Hugo stood frozen, staring at the golden prison. Why? Why? Why? Why didn’t Varian listen to him? Why did he have to use the whole beaker, when he could use a pipette? Why couldn’t Hugo get to him faster? Why was Varian smiling???
He was half-aware of Quirin punching at the amber, screaming Varian’s name, desperately trying to free his son. He numbly watched as the man grabbed one tool after another, all of them breaking on the structure, not leaving even a single scratch on the surface. If only the Princess didn’t ask him-
The Princess! The Princess was connected to the rocks. The Princess always had a way to fix things! The Princess has to free Varian!
Without a second though, Hugo turned on his heel and bolted out of the door, only stopping to grab his winter coat before running outside. He had to get to the castle! He had to get Rapunzel come back with him! She had to help them!
The road was hard, with snowstorm coming and becoming more fierce as the time passed. But Hugo didn’t stop, didn’t waver. Varian’s life depended on him getting to the castle and getting Rapunzel. He couldn’t back down. Not now!
Breathing heavily, he finally managed to get to the capital and ran up to the castle door. He threw them open, running and crying for Rapunzel. The guards ran after him but he didn’t mind them. He had to find Rapunzel.
He saw her exit one of the rooms, dressed in pink snow coat. He ran up to her and grabbed her shoulders fiercely.
“Rapunzel! You have to go with me! Varian- He’s- I need your help!” He cried, the woman looking up at him with a mixture of confusion and fear.
“Hugo, I...” She looked back into the room she walked out of for a moment before looking back at him. “I can’t go with you now. I’m sorry.”
“No, no! You don’t understand!” He cried desperately. “I can’t lose him! Why don’t you get that I CAN’T LOSE HIM!! I know you can fix this!!”
“Hugo, I’m sorry, but-” She tried again and then he felt the guards grabbing him by the arms and drag him away.
“No, Rapunzel! You have to go with me! You have to fix this! I can’t lose him!” He shouted as the guards pulled him away and through the door, closing them shut as soon as he found himself outside. He ran back up and pounded on the door, shouting and crying for Rapunzel.
He didn’t know how long he stayed there, shouting and crying. He didn’t remember the way back home. He remembered, however, finding Quirin crying under his son’s amber prison. He remembered Ruddiger’s pained whining as he clawed at the cluster.
And most vividly, he remembered whose fault it was in the first place. He clenched his fist in anger, tears falling from his eyes. She will pay for turning her backs on them. She will pay for ever asking Varian to study those rocks. And most of all, she will pay for hurting his brother!

Ooookay, this one is definitely shorter than my usual oneshots but it seemed a good place to stop. I really like Amber!Varian idea and I truly enjoyed writing this story. Thank you for this opportunity :)
Ummm, ok. You said you took oneshot requests so...hehe, you don’t have to do this at all, it’s just an idea. But what about a little oneshot of Human Ruddiger au? Idk. :P
Okay, let's do this. Hope it turns out well 😅
TW: blood, injury
Little Raccoon Boy
Varian was walking through the forest near Old Corona, humming softly. He had a leather satchel draped over his shoulder, already filled with several herbs and flowers which he could use in his alchemy later.
Suddenly, he heard a quiet whimper from the nearby bushes. He stopped, intrigued, and slowly approached the source of the sound. He pushed away the branches and to see what was going on.
To his surprise, and horror, he saw a young boy, probably around 7 years old, lying on the grass and crying. His left leg was stuck in the bear trap villagers put out in the forest to keep the animals from stealing their crops.
Varian's mind froze as he observed the scene, the blood visible on the kid's leg. He gulped down the wave of coming nausea at the sight of blood. No time for that.
He quickly, but carefully emerged from the bushes and approached the crying child. The boy startled at his arrival, and tried to shuffle away, resulting in the trap burying itself deeper into the leg. The boy cried out in pain.
"Shhh, hey. It's alright." Varian raised his hands in the air to show they were empty. "I'm not going to hurt you. I only want to help."
The boy ceased his crying, but was still watching Varian with wide, terrified eyes. Varian slowly came closer and kneeled next to the boy, suppressing another wave of nausea.
"O-okay. I'm going to open the trap now and get our your leg." He said and looked up at the kid.
The boy was silent and eyed Varian fearfully. His grey eyes slowly moved to the trap and back to the young teen. Finally he seemed to understand and slowly nodded his head. Varian took a deep breath and grabbed the sides of the trap.
"This is going to hurt, but I'll try to be as gentle as possible." He warned and gave the boy a reassuring smile.
The kid let out another cry of pain when the trap opened, and Varian worked fast to move it away, before releasing his hold, the sharp metal smacking shut the moment he did so.
The child's leg didn't look so good. The metal went in deep and the wound was bleeding heavily. Varian's vision swum for a moment, but he shook his head and untied his apron, securing it tightly around the injury.
"This needs to be cleaned and bandaged properly." He said more to himself than to the kid. He eyed the terrified boy and weighed his options. He could take him to the medic, but he knew for a fact the man was absent right now, taking a trip to the capital in need of some medicines. Or, he could take the boy back home with him, which was actually closer than the clinic, and had some of his own medicines which would be able to help.
Making up his mind, Varian stood up and held up a hand to the kid. The grey eyes stared at him perplexed, the boy cocking his head in puzzlement.
"Come on, I'll take you home. We can take care of your leg there." The alchemist said and smiled in a way that, hopefully, would calm the kid down enough to trust him.
The small boy seemed to think for a few moments, before he reluctantly grabbed the held-out hand. Varian gently helped him stand up. The boy suddenly hissed in pain and fell back down, when he unconsciously put the weight on the injured leg. The grey eyes welled with tears and Varian took only a moment to assess situation and decide on the next course of action.
Slowly and calmly explaining what he was doing, he picked up the kid to secure him safely on his back and made his way home. He could feel the boy stiffen when they entered the village, but also look around in, what seemed like, curiosity.
Dad was working on the pumpkin patch in front of the house when they arrived. He looked up to his son and his brows furrowed in the unrecognizable expression at the sight of the boy on Varian's back.
"Found him in the forest. His leg got stuck in one of the bear traps." Varian quickly explained. "Dr. Therry is in the capital today, so-"
Dad's eyes landed on the kid's leg, blood starting to seep through the apron and he nodded quickly. They entered the house and dad motioned for Varian to set the boy on the kitchen table, while he left to bring bandages and water to clean the wound.
When the large man came back, the kid seemed to tense, eyes wide in fear. He started to tremble and unconsciously hid behind Varian, hands gripping the teen's shirt.
"Hey, it's okay. It's just dad." The alchemist tried to calm the boy down with a reassuring smile. "He might look scare but he won't hurt you."
After some more cooing, the kid finally let dad approach and unwrap the wounded leg. The father and son duo worked together at cleaning and treating to the injury, Varian leaving only for a moment to bring some ointment of his own design which helped in healing wounds faster.
When he came back from his lab, the boy almost jump down from the table to hug him, if not stopped by dad.
"He seems to feel comfortable around you." Quirin commented as Varian spread the medicine over the wound and let his dad bandage the leg. "He tensed up the moment you left his sight."
"I wonder how did he even got in the forest. I've never seen him around the village." Varian pondered as the kid once again reached for his sleeve and grabbed to it.
"Neither have I." Dad nodded and looked up at the kid, who shrunk a little under the man's gaze. "He's also strangely quiet."
"Didn't say a word since I found him." The alchemist confirmed. Dad finished wrapping the bandage and smiled gently.
"All done, little one. Luckily the trap didn't break any bones or muscles, so it should heal in a week or so." He brushed the boy's head in a friendly manner.
The kid tensed at the touch at first, but quickly noticed it didn't mean any harm, so he eagerly leaned to the touch. Varian smiled at the boy and helped him down, the kid quickly wrapping him in a hug once he was standing on the floor.
"Oofff, you need a bath, kid." The alchemist scrunched his nose. "You smell like you haven't washed for MONTHS."
"I'll get the water ready." Quirin chuckled and Varian nodded in appreciation.
"Come on, let's see if any of my old clothes will fit you. Yours need a proper washing too." The teen untangled the boy from around his waist and took his hand instead, leading the boy upstairs.
By the time dad came back, saying the bath was ready, they managed to find some grey shirt, black trousers and a pair of shoes which were almost the kid's size. The shoes were a little too big, and the shirt needed a belt around the waist, but the could work with that until his own clothes were clean.
Varian helped the kid undress and wash, the boy very interested in bubbles that filled the tub. He didn't seem to mind Varian scrubbing away the dirt from his back, humming in delight the whole time.
"Say... do you have a name?" Varian asked as he helped the kid dry with a towel. Grey eyes looked up at him, the head cocked to the side in puzzlement. "A name. Like... I'm Varian." The teen pointed at himself and then at the boy. "And you?"
The kid blinked and then grinned cheerfully, but not saying anything. Varian sighed. Great, he was probably mute.
"Okay then, but I can't keep calling you kid . Do you want me to choose one for you?" He asked and the boy thought for a moment before nodding fervently. "Okay... how about... Damien?" The boy scrunched his nose in disgust and shook his head. "No? Then... Thomas?" Another shake. "Nate? Brian?" Two shakes again. "Flynn?" Varian asked hopefully. The kid seemed to think for a moment but shook his head again.
Varian sighed as he watched the boy put on the trousers and the shirt, wondering how easy it was for parents to choose the name for their children. They didn't have choice in the matter. If your parents decided you'll be called Glenn or Stanley, then that's what you were stuck with for your whole life. But choosing a name for a 7-year-old kid?
"Ruddiger?" He tried again, remembering the name of the dog they used to have when he was younger. It died of old age few years ago, but Varian still kinda missed him.
The boy stopped at his attempt to put on a shoe and looked up at Varian, eyes glistening. He nodded once, twice, so many times the alchemist thought for a moment his head is going to fall off.
"Great! Ruddiger it is!" He confirmed with a small chuckle.
"Boys! The dinner is ready!" They heard dad's voice from the kitchen. Varian grabbed the kid's hand and led him downstairs.
Little did any of them know, this was the day little Ruddiger came into their lives and was there to stay.

Okay, so that escalated quickly. As you requested, fluff with a speck of angst. Hope you like it.
So, I did a thing. Like, completely longer and different than what was originally requested. I mean, it has the request but....something else. Please don’t hate it love. I really hope you like it. I may have also left room for a part 2 maybe....I do not know.
Anyways.....

Prompt: Would you mind doing dominant/jealous Sirius smut cx btw you’re one of the few writers I know who does Sirius so thats why I always come to you to ask for Sirius oneshots lmao xx
So, here it is darling (meant to post last night). And yes, warning, there is smut. Dominating, interesting smut. So if you will excuse me, I am going to put up a Christmas tree and play Fallout 4. Good day!
She felt the eyes on the back of her head, could practically hear the growling from his throat even though there was a good distance between them. She had only traveled with the company to ensure Harry got on the train perfectly fine. To give him a normal send off or as close to it as possible. She never meant for an old flame to find her nor the shameful flirting the man directed at her. Oh no, she never meant for it. But it had happened and with her trying to be nice, trying to be sweet to avoid a scene, she unintentionally ignited a fire in her lover.
“Did you hear me, Y/N?” her old boyfriend asked. She blinked her eyes in response before giving a gentle smile, giggling to herself to avoid questions.
“Sorry, I just remembered I had to do something. Do you mind?” she inched slowly away from him, feeling the air charge with magic should he say no.
“No, of course not. If you, of course, go out with me tonight?”
Her body felt a sudden vibration and she could practically feel his muscle ripple in the form he took. This situation was becoming delicate and needed to be diffused quickly. She didn’t want to answer questions regarding her current relationship, knowing that the old one would be jealous in his own way but she knew if she didn’t at least mention it, the current…
“I don’t think my husband will like that,” Y/N flinched slightly, a blush erupting along her neck. Did she just say husband? How could she ever avoid that explanation to him if he heard it?
“Wait? You’re married?”
“Yes and I really must be going to the doctor’s appointment I have. They want to check on the baby.”
Strike Two.
“Pregnant?”
“Yes, with twins. So if you’ll excuse me,” she began to back away, “my husband is actually waiting on me to go to lunch as well.”
Strike Three.
She turned then, walking away as fast as possible. The grin on her face was magnified by the blush that covered her cheeks. Her old flame had paled at the last statement, his eyes darting around the crowd. Though, she did see his eyes widen in one certain direction which was enough for her to know that he had showed himself to the other.
Y/N quickly made her way out of the station, briskly walking toward an alley across the street. It was empty and it had been the meeting place set up by the others. They must have already left though, save one, who was nowhere to be seen. She prayed that he didn’t do anything to jeopardize his situation. But her thoughts scattered as a hand grabbed her elbow before feeling that familiar sensation of apparating away. They had quickly left the train station to appear in front of his home, the young woman being dragged into the changing building. The door was forced open, rushing down the long hallway before turning into his living room.
“Love, please, it was nothing. I promise,” Y/N tried to diffuse his anger, the emotion palpable. But it did nothing as his hand went around her throat, backing her against the wall.
“Nothing?” he growled lowly, eyes blazing fire.
“Yes, Sirius. Nothing.”
Sirius Black stood before her, her shoulders hunched and teeth bared. His normally beautiful features held a snare, eyes alight in fury, and it seemed like he grew several inches taller than her. He was hovering over her form, staring directly into her wide eyes.
“Then why did you flirt back?” he barked toward her. Y/N shook her head violently.
“I didn’t flirt.”
“You smiled at every statement. Blushed toward him. Batted your eyes.”
“I didn’t do those intentionally. And you know it’s easy to get me to blush,” Y/N tried to avoid his gaze but his thumb went under her chin, forcing her to meet his steel eyes. But it went further than that. He forced her to raise her head higher, exposing her throat more to him. She felt his chest rumble as he bent his dark head, his lips ghosting over her flesh. A moan erupted from her throat until a yelp was ripped from her, his teeth digging into the junction of her neck.
“Sirius!”
“Silence,” the bite in his tone caused her legs to shake. He met her gaze, staring directly into her soul. She felt his leg slide between her own, moving up to press roughly at her center. She gasped out as he forced her to stand on her toes, her body weight boring down on his leg for more support. Sirius smirked toward her, his free hand pulling her skirt up to her waist before going to the buttons on her blouse.
“S-Sirius? What are you-“
“Hush. I didn’t give you permission to speak,” he commanded her silence, his lips hovering over own. She swallowed thickly as her blouse fell open to expose her to the cold air. She felt her skin tighten, tiny bumps immediately forming as his hand gripped the front of her bra. She bit her tongue as he worked the front clasp loose, her breasts freed from the material.
“Mine,” she heard him hiss, his hand gripping her roughly. “You are mine. Your flesh, your heart, your womb. All belongs to me and me alone. No one can claim you.”
Whether she openly admitted it or not, she felt her core warm immensely at his words. She didn’t care that he had her opened like this, that anyone could appear in his home and see her like this. No, she only cared that his knee was digging into her nether regions, forcing surprisingly pleasurable sensations to run through her.
His fingers tweaked her chest, squeezing and rubbing in a way she never knew she enjoyed. His lips connected with hers, his tongue forcing its way inside. Their teeth clashed painfully, tongues battled, but his was the dominate. He was always the dominate one, claiming her, forcing her to submit to his strength.
The hand on her throat disappeared, only to reappear on her waist. He forced her hips to move, rubbing against his leg. Y/N cried out in surprise, her arms finally moving from her sides to land on his shoulders. She knew she couldn’t take much more of this. He was only teasing her, teaching her a lesson for what he perceived was punishable.
His lips found her neck, his tongue flicking out to run along the column of flesh. His teeth came next, biting and marking her so that everyone can see that she belonged to him. He left nothing to chance, wanting her to know that only he could pleasure her, love her. No man could ever take her from him for he be damned if he allowed her away from his side.
Y/N felt her heart race, her body tighten. To think that a man could make her feel such added pleasure by his leg alone baffled her. However, her mind was lost to the white hot heat boring down on her core, on her neck and chest.
Without warning, Sirius stopped, pulling her away from the wall. Her legs buckled as he took her down to the floor. Her arms gave way to his added weight, her backside sticking up in the air. She glanced over her shoulder, seeing him staring at her most intimate area. He licked his lips, forcing her to practically drip in anticipation as he removed her undergarments. She was soon exposed fully to him and watched as his hands lifted her backside higher to meet his lips.
She screamed in surprise when she felt his tongue run along her before probing her as deeply as he could. Her body convulsed without warning when she felt his tongue flick out to run along the bundle of nerves that begged for attention. He would go back and forth, tasting, teasing, and testing ways that sent her into a fury of pure feeling. She gasped, sucking in what little air she could as her hands clawed at the ground to give her some sort of reality.
Her knees hit the floor roughly, her breathing labored. She felt him cover her back, his teeth quickly latching onto her earlobe. She felt his hardness pressed against her rear for only a moment until it was moved to her entrance, making her question for a brief second when he removed his trousers. But it was lost when he pushed into her inch by slow inch, forcing her walls to accommodate him. Only was he fully inside her did he allow his hands to find her hips, fingers digging into her skin. The mixture of pleasure and pain nearly sent her skyward but it wasn’t enough.
“Please, love, please. Please please,” she found herself begging, realizing that he hadn’t moved a single inch from her. Sirius growled into her ear, biting down hard on the lobe still stuck between his teeth. She felt the puncture, a mewl escaping her lips. The combination of him inside her, completing her, plus the pain nearly finished her off.
“Who do you belong too?” his husky voice sent shivers down her spine, her body shifting to try and provide some sort of friction between them. Instead, she was met with a roll of his hips, grinding into her core.
“Answer me!”
“You! I belong to you! Only you and no one else!”
“Will you allow another to flirt with you?”
“No, I promise. No one. Not even a woman!” Y/N felt her eyes prick with tears, her body wound so tightly that she didn’t think about what her words could mean for the possible future. But it didn’t matter in that moment as she desperately tried to find some sort of relief.
“Good,” his growl rumbled through her ear as she felt him pull out fully before thrusting back in roughly. Her back dipped low, her head thrown back in ecstasy as he repeated the action. She felt his hand find her throat again, keeping the low arch in place as he continued the slow thrusts. Y/N whimpered, the noise begging for a faster pace. He obliged, pumping faster against her willing flesh. Sirius could tell she was close, ready to snap, but he wouldn’t allow it. He turned his head, his breath hitting her ear as he speed up.
“Don’t you dare come yet, Y/N. Not until I tell you too, understood?” he commanded. Y/N nodded her head, squeezing her eyes shut as she tried to hang on. He was pounding into her, feeling her walls clenching down upon his member. She was ready to give, ready to explode into a million pieces but she refused to do so until he gave the command.
Sirius smirked, his hand reaching around her body to find the most sensitive area at her legs. He felt her buck away from him but he held tight, keeping her against him as he forced her control to teeter on the very edge.
“Don’t think you can escape me,” he breathed, groaning loudly for her to hear his own enjoyment. “This is so you know who you belong too. I can only pleasure you like this. Bring you to the edge of bliss.”
“Sirius, please!” she cried. Her legs shook, her body unable to hold on much longer. Sirius sensed this as well as his own control. And after a few more seconds of torture…
“Now!”
Y/N stiffened, her body releasing into a whirlwind of sensations. She released every inch of tension he forced upon her, shaking uncontrollably as he forced her orgasm to extend past the point of conscious thought. She felt his own stiffen against her after a few more thrusts, heard his low groan as he filled her insides with his essence. Her walls continued to milk him dry until they both collapsed to the ground, trying to regain their minds from the act they just committed. It took some time before Sirius could even move off her, sliding to the floor beside her fully spent.
They both laid upon the ground, trying desperately to inflate their lungs with much needed air. Y/N was upon her side, failing to hide the fact that her legs were shaking. Sirius noticed though, much to her dismay, along with the still bleeding prick on her ear.
“I didn’t hurt you, did I?” he finally asked, his fingers rubbing away the small amount on her ear. She smiled before giving a giggle of reassurance.
“Nothing I can’t take. Besides, did you hear me complaining?”
“Well, no,” Sirius smirked, caressing her cheek. “Though I must admit, I think I overdid it just a bit.”
“Oh?” Y/N quirked a brow, trying to sit up. She watched as he chuckled before doing the same, bringing a knee up to rest his arm upon. His fingers ran through his sweat drenched hair, his face contorting to disgust at the feel.
“I need a shower.”
“Use your wand.”
“My wand is tired.”
“Not that one, husband,” she rolled her eyes before getting onto her shaky feet.
“Oh that one, wife. Well, maybe I decided I didn’t want to use that one,” he teased back, letting her know that he did indeed hear her at the station. Y/N chuckled lightly before deciding to bolt for the stairs. She had just enough energy, her eyes dancing with mirth as she called out, “Race ya!”
“Minx!” Sirius yelled after her. He followed anyways, bounding up the stairs after her. They both made it equally, eager to get in and clean up. Only after, along with much spooning, did Sirius come down the stairs with a whistle. He entered the kitchen, prepared to make a cup of coffee until he stopped. On the kitchen table was an owl, a letter lying face down. He lifted it, noticing that it was addressed to Y/N.
“What’s that dear?” Y/N entered the kitchen, her hair up in a ponytail. Sirius glanced at her, taking in the forming markings he left along her flesh with a satisfied smirk before addressing the letter in his hands.
“It’s for you, love. From St. Mungo’s I think. Been awhile since I received anything from that place.”
“Probably to reschedule my appointment. I missed it a while ago,” Y/N smiled brightly as Sirius coughed out a sorry.
“What’s the appointment for?” he questioned, taking a sip from his freshly made coffee.
“I think I’m pregnant.”
Sirius choked suddenly, holding the mug away from his person. His dark eyes went to her face, watching as she casually opened the letter. A quill appeared suddenly, Y/N scribbling on the letter that was sent to her. He still didn’t find any words to speak to her as she resealed the letter, giving it to the owl along with a treat. Once the owl was gone, he found his voice.
“Are you…are you certain?”
“No silly. Which is why I have rescheduled the appointment.”
“But why-“
“I’m late by a few weeks.”
“Weeks?”
“Yes,” Y/N came around him, bringing out a mug from the cupboard. She was humming quietly to herself, her hand finding the pot for the coffee until she was stopped by a much stronger hand.
“No.”
“What?” she blinked.
“I said no. Caffeine is not good for you.”
“Really Sirius? I’m not even sure if I am,” Y/N countered.
“No coffee.”
“What’s going on here?” a cheery voice brought the two out of their argument, looking toward the person who spoke. Remus was standing in the doorway with Tonks, their eyes scanning her neck before meeting Sirius’ own expression.
“Did we miss something?”
“Remus, tell her she can’t have any caffeine,” Sirius suddenly called, pulling Y/N away from the coffee pot.
“Sirius Black, I told you I won’t know until I see the doctor!”
“I’m not risking it! Tell her Moony!”
Remus felt his lips twitch as Tonks laughed, her hair changing to a bright hue. Sirius held Y/N close to his form, practically carrying the woman to the living room. Remus followed suit, trying to discern the argument as the two continued to bicker.
“What did I just miss?”
“No idea,” Tonks replied.
“NO! Now calm down, your blood pressure shouldn’t be skyrocketing either!”
“Do you even know what a rocket is?”
“No, but that’s beside the point! I won’t have you risking any harm!”
“You’re the one causing my blood pressure to rise!”
“Am not?! Moony, tell her to calm down!”
“Moony, stay out of this!”
“Calm down, both of you!” Remus stepped between the two, looking at Sirius before Y/N. “Now tell me, what has you both so upset?”
“Sirius is the one upset. I won’t know until I go to St. Mungo’s tomorrow since he made me miss my appointment today,” she confessed. Sirius rubbed his face in frustration.
“Can you at least wait until tomorrow? Please, I don’t want you hurting the baby,” Sirius pinched the bridge of his nose. Remus found his mouth falling open, eyeing Y/N before Sirius. He never thought in a million years that he would ever hear Sirius say baby.
“Padfoot?”
“Y/N might – I said might woman – be pregnant!” Sirius rubbed his arm from the punch he received. Remus rubbed his temples in frustration at the display between the two. They started to bicker again until Remus yelled out at them.
“Stop it! Y/N, if you might be, then I agree with Padfoot. No coffee or caffeinated beverages. Period! I don’t want to argue with you,” Remus watched as Y/N huffed, sitting down on the couch roughly. “Padfoot, stop yelling at her! You are not helping anything. Now cuddle your woman and figure out if you want to marry her now or propose later like you planned.”
“Wait what?” Y/N blinked in surprise.
“Moony!”
“Come off it. Propose damn it! Now I’m going to finish off the coffee and I don’t want to hear another word!” Remus stalked off. Y/N stared after the tall individual as Tonks followed suit, still clutching her stomach in laughter. It took both to several minutes before they looked at each other. Y/N in turn, smiled brightly, holding her arms out.
“The answer is yes, Pads. And I don’t know.”
“I don’t know when either,” he sighed, joining her. The two curled up, silence taking them. Remus came to check on them after the silence had gone on too long, only to find the two asleep on the couch. His made his way to the couple, procuring a blanket from the armchair. He covered them, his fingers lightly checking over her bruised skin, arching a brow in response.
