You and Bob had been married for a year and a half now and no one had any idea.

It wasn’t that you and Bob didn’t want to tell people, if anything, you were itching to tell anyone. Both you and Bob agreed to keep your personal lives separate from your work lives.

But it was becoming increasingly difficult with Bob being unable to keep his hands off you.

“Come on, darling.” Bob whispers, pulling you into an empty room. “Just a few kisses before you have to go.”

“Robby…” you sigh, laughing softly. “I have to be wheels up in five, I don’t have time to make out with you.”

He pouts, his glasses sliding down his nose. “You don’t want to kiss your husband goodbye?”

“I do.” You hum, gently pushing his glasses back into place before tracing your finger down his cheek. “But I don’t want to be caught. Someone could walk in.”

Bob whines softly, pulling you close and kissing you.

You smile, cupping his cheeks as you kiss him back.

The two of you are quickly interrupted by the door swinging open, banging against the wall. “What the hell-?” A chorus of voices say from the other side of the door.

You and Bob quickly separate, shyly stepping away from each other. “Hey guys…” you smile.

“You… and Bob…” Rooster says in shock, pointing between the two of you. “Kissing?!?”

Bob laughs, reaching for your hand. “Yeah. Am I not allowed to kiss my wife?”

The groups eyes nearly pop out of their heads at the news.

“WIFE?!?” Phoenix squeals. “And you didn’t tell me?!?”

“But you don’t wear rings…?” Hangman frowns in confusion.

Bob smiles, reaching under his flight suit to pull off his necklace, letting the two rings catch the light. He hands one to you, watching as you casually slide it on your finger.

Bob slides his ring on, kissing your head.

“I can’t believe this.” Rooster shakes his head. “You guys are having a second wedding just for us.”

Laying your towel on the sand, you set down your bag. Your daughter squeals, reaching toward the water.

“Not yet, sweetie.” You laugh, sitting down on the towel with her. “You don’t even have your swim suit on.” You smile, quickly dressing her and putting her sunscreen on.

“Is that who I think it is?” You hear a voice from behind you, looking up. Maverick smiles, walking up next to you.

“Hey, Mav.” You smile, standing up and picking up your daughter. “What brings you here?”

“Bringing the crew down for some team bonding.” He laughs, gesturing to the group of pilots behind him.

Your daughter squeals loudly, reaching for Maverick.

He smiles, scooping her out of your arms. “There’s my favorite girl!” Maverick coos at her, tickling her belly.

She giggles, kicking her feet.

“You two want to meet everyone?” Maverick smiles, holding your daughter on his chest.

“We’d love to.” You smile as Maverick waves the group over.

“Everyone, this is my friend Y/N and her daughter, Ophelia. Y/N and Ophelia, this is everyone.” Maverick smiles.

You smile, waving as Ophelia squeals and waved her chubby hands at the group.

Maverick hands Ophelia back to you, starting to set up for the football game.

One of the pilots, a tall man with a Hawaiian shirt, makes his way over to you. “I’m Rooster.” He smiles, holding his hand out.

You smile, shaking his hand. “And your real name?”

“Bradley.” He chuckles, smiling at you.

“Nice to meet you, Bradley.” You smile, holding Ophelia on your hip.

“Hi, sweet girl.” Rooster coos at her, smiling when she grabs at his sunglasses.

“Sorry about her.” You laugh softly. “She’s very curious about everything.”

“Don’t even worry about it, little lady.” He smiles, taking his glasses off and setting them on Ophelia. “They look better on her than on me.”

ok so i saw you summoning a bob anon… hi :) so this is my first time requesting anything so bear with me!! i would love to see a short, feisty reader with bob. like i feel like their dynamic would be so cute!! like bob not really being able to stick up for himself with some of the jokes people make. and then BAM reader comes in and shuts them all down even tho they’re like five foot nothing. like reader can command respect from a 6’3 fighter pilot and bob loves them so much for it!! and i’m sort and feisty as well so i’m manifesting this for myself hahaha (honestly i would love any pronouns with it bc mine are she/they :))

Bob wasn’t one for confrontation. The waiter at a restaurant got his order wrong? Bob would still eat it rather than send it back. Someone on base picked on him? He would stay quiet and wait for them to be done.

And then he met you. Bob still remembers it vividly. It happened at The Hard Deck, after a long mission. Bob was just trying to relax and play a game of pool with Phoenix when Hangman started picking on him for various things. His glasses, his bad luck in pool, his lack of an romantic attachment, the list went on.

Bob adjusted his glasses, doing his best to keep a straight face and not give Hangman any reactions when he heard it.

Heard you.

“Hey! What the hell is wrong with you?!?” Your voice carried through the entire bar, causing everyone to look around for the source.

To Bob’s surprise, you stepped out from the crowd. At first glance, Bob determined that you were small. Standing next to Rooster, you barely reached his chest. And yet, the fire of a thousand suns burned in your eyes as you glared at Hangman.

“What? You’re the insecure that you have to pick on someone else?” You frown, folding your arms over your chest. “And before you say something stupid and along the lines of ‘he knows I’m joking’ or ‘he can take it’, I don’t care.”

The whole bar stares at you in shock as you march up to Hangman, jabbing your finger into his chest. “Apologize to him immediately.”

“Or what, sweetheart?” Hangman smirks. “What’s a tiny thing like you going to do to me?”

Before anyone can react, you swiftly raise your leg, kneeing Hangman right in the crotch. He doubles over in pain, groaning. “I can do that, for starters.” You mutter. “And I can do much much worse. Apologize. Now.”

Hangman mutters an apology, hurrying off to the bathroom as everyone returns to their activities.

You brush your hands off, catching Bob staring at you. “You okay?” You smile at him.

Bob nods shyly, blushing as he stares. “I-I’m-“

“Bob, I know.” You smile. “Penny told me about you.”

You had always been quiet, from the day Maverick adopted you. You were shy and preferred to sit back and observe rather than be the center of attention.

It was exact why everyone thought you and Bob would be perfect together.

You weren’t in the Navy like your dad, preferring to spend your time working at the local library. But you still spent all your free time at the base with your dad and his crew.

You quickly became close with your dad’s crew, fitting in perfectly with them. You were second closest with Phoenix, first being Bob.

Phoenix was even the first to find out when you and Bob got together. The second person was Hangman, followed quickly by Fanboy, Payback, and Coyote.

The only people who didn’t know were your dad and Rooster, who was practically your older brother.

“Phoenix knows?!?” Rooster frowns.

“Everyone knew except for you guys…” you whisper.

Maverick blinks in shock, crossing his arms over his chest. “Everyone?”

You nod, holding Bob’s hand. “Everyone.”

Maverick nods, looking between you and Bob. “I’ll allow it.” He shrugs before walking off.

Rooster loves having kids. Some of his best memories are with his parents before they passed, and he is determined to help his sons create as many core memories as they can with their parents.

The rest of the pilots, save for Phoenix, found it hard to believe that Rooster was not only married to you, but also had twin sons. Rooster did his best to separate his work life and personal life, keeping you and the boys away from his work until the boys are older. Phoenix was the exception, being the boys’ godmother.

The day eventually came for the boys to meet their dad’s coworkers. The morning was off to a rocky start, with the twins refusing to leave your presence. The twins, Nick and Goose, were mommy’s boys through and through. Rooster couldn’t complain though, he was more than happy to have you come to work with him.

Making your way into the base, Nick strapped to your chest and Goose strapped to your back, all heads turned to look at you and Rooster.

“No way, I thought you were kidding, Phoenix…” Hangman stares at you in shock. “I can’t believe Rooster’s a dad.”

Rooster settles his arm around you, kissing the twins’ heads. “Everyone, meet Nick, Goose, and Y/N.”

You wave shyly, gently rocking the twins. “Hi, everyone.”

Nearly two hours later, the twins were having the time of their lives. Nick was laying on Rooster’s chest, watching Bob and Hangman get ready for a training exercise. Goose was squealing, being gently tossed in the air by Maverick.

You smile, making your way over to Rooster. “Thanks for letting us come today. The boys are going to remember this forever.”

Rooster smiles, kissing you. “Anything for my best girl and my favorite guys.”

Rooster knew you could handle yourself. But he couldn’t help but feel extra protective over you whenever the two of you were in a crowded or chaotic setting.

Like tonight, for example. The Hard Deck was crowded, people pushing against one another to get to the bar or to the dance floor. On nights like these, you and Rooster spend most of your time on the dance floor, wrapped up in each other.

Rooster had a beer in hand, his free arm wrapped around your waist to hold you close. You wrapped your arms around him, holding his Hawaiian shirt. He hums softly to the music, swaying with you as the crowd moves around you. He smiles, resting his chin on your head as he scans the room.

Your moment is interrupted by a man stumbling into you, knocking you out of Rooster’s hold.

“Watch where you’re going, buddy.” Rooster frowns, pulling you close again.

“Watch where you’re going.” The man snarls, pointing at you.

“Hey, man,” Rooster moves you behind him, frowning. “Back off, you’re drunk.”

The man huffs, moving around Rooster to grab at your arm.

“I said back off!” Rooster sets his beer on a nearby table, shoving the man back.

The man swings his fist at Rooster, hitting you instead.

“That’s it, buddy. Time to go.” Rooster frowns, punching the man in the face.

You gasp, watching in shock as Rooster drags the man out of the bar.

Rooster dumps the man outside, making his way back to you. “Sorry about that, little lady. Are you okay?”

You nod, quickly moving back into Rooster’s hold. “Yeah, I’m okay, big guy.” You whisper, holding his shirt again.

Hi! I absolutely love your Rooster x teacher fics they’re just so wholesome! If you’re still taking requests I had an idea that may be a little niche but I think it could be cute. Ok so like what if you and Rooster have your own little gym at home and so whenever he works out he just likes to have you near to talk to or just have you near while you read a book. So one time you bring a book and you’re near the end and all of a sudden Rooster hears you crying over the characters or something. Idk I just think it could be cute and a little funny 💕

It was a well known fact that Rooster loved to simply co-exist in the same space as you. This extended to all his aspects of his life, including his workouts.

Rooster had the option to workout on the base but when given the choice, he’d workout in your home gym. You and Rooster had built the gym for the both of you, but it was really only Rooster who used it.

He always made a point to let you know that he was working out, knowing that you would follow shortly after. It took, on average, two minutes for you to follow Rooster into the gym, book in hand.

“Little lady?” Rooster pokes his head into the room, looking at you.

“Yeah, big guy?” You look up from your book, smiling.

“I’m going to workout.” He smiles, walking over to you.

“Okay, Roos.” You hum, looking back to your book. “Have fun.”

Rooster chuckles, kissing your head and making his way to the gym.

A record thirty seconds later, you padded into the gym, your socks muffling the sound of your steps. Rooster was just turning on music as you made your way over to him, sitting on top of the large speaker in the corner.

“That was fast.” He smirks at you.

You shrug, turning the page in your book. “I haven’t seen you all day, just wanted to be around you.”

Rooster is normally a very confident man. There’s not much in this world that makes him nervous or insecure.

The 6 foot fighter pilot is currently shitting bricks at the thought of meeting your parents.

Not because he thinks he’s a bad boyfriend. He knows he loves you with all he has, he just doesn’t know how to show your parents that.

You can tell Rooster is nervous. He isn’t singing along to the music playing in the car, but rather he’s dead silent and holding your hand in a death grip.

“You don’t have to be nervous, big guy.” You smile, soothing your thumb over the back of his hand. “They’re gonna love you.”

Rooster glances at you, parking in front of your parents house. “And if they don’t?”

“I’ll still love you.” You laugh, kissing him.

You and Rooster make your way to the front door, Rooster holding a bottle of wine that he insisted on buying to win your parents over. You knock on the door, waiting for an answer.

“Honey, you made it!” Your mom beams, throwing open the door and hugging you. “And you must be Bradley!” She holds her arms out for a hug, looking at Rooster.

“Y-yeah, that’s me… ma’am.” Rooster blushes, giving her a shy hug.

“None of that ‘ma’am’ nonsense.” Your mom scolds. “Call me M/N.” She smiles, hugging Rooster tighter. “Now come inside, D/N has been dying to meet you.”
