Do you have any dialog prompts for what a character might say to comfort someone who is crying?

So umm you see I kinda wanted to ask if I could request some fluff prompts about like... home being not a place but a person? It's hard to explain but yeah. Sorry if it's too vague.

Hi Anon! Don't worry it's not too vague at all! It's actually a really heartwarming topic, I was just having small brain moments and couldn't come up with prompts (even then I could only come up with a handful - sorry about that)!

1. Character A finds themselves unbothered by the snowstorm that has them staying stuck in a cottage until it dies down because Character B is there to keep them company

2. While sitting on the couch, Character A is stuck looking around the place, trying to think of what's missing. The answer comes in the form of a text from Character B

3. After a rough day, Character A can't wait to get home. However, even as they begin to wind down for the evening they're unable to take the edge off. It's only when Character B gets home do they finally find themselves relaxing.

4. "I remember thinking I can't wait until I get home. Now, I think I can't wait to see [Name]."

5. Character B visits Character A at work. Just at the mere sight of them does Character A drop their work persona. So at ease with Character B, they even forget they're at work in the first place.

Hi! Any dialogue prompts for a girl turning down a "bad boy" (who at first pretended to like her as a cruel prank and then oops, started liking her for real, but she's smart and is not going to give him another chance)?

Do you have/can you make dialog for someone not appreciating a gift that their S/O got them and it leads to a fight?

I don’t have any but I sure can make some! Most of these come in pairs to create one prompt but do feel free to only use half of the inspiration strikes!

These prompts were requested by @shadowykidmakeregg! We had touched upon a couple different themes/categories for prompts so there's a mix in this list.

Prompts requested were:

- For those who are no longer friends but when one of them gets new friends the old ones start 'sabotaging' the new group. The groups are also sports team members.

- angst/whump shapeshifter au prompts

- torture prompts

Unfortunately I could only come up with a few and I don't usually dabble in the last two for one reason or another so this list is on the shorter side and some of these might not be the best - sorry! As always though, feel free to tweak these to fit your story!

For torture prompts I also have this and this prompt that could be taken as such!

1. Shapeshifter is forced to stay in a certain form because of their surroundings (ex: must stay a small animal because they’re in a small space). Only problem is staying in another form has some serious drawbacks…

2. Shapeshifter!Whumpee catches an illness that only affects what they’ve turned into (like animal specific kind of illnesses). Turning back to their original form makes it worse and whumpee is unable to take care of themselves in their other form. It’s up to Caretaker to look after them.

3. “This…” they watch as their captor careless swings a liquid filled syringe in the air. A burning dread heats up their insides. “This may hurt a bit.”

4. “What if I," immediately a jolt of pain shoots through their body, "press here?”

5. Character A - who has always exhibited a strong will and mental strength, never one to yield or bow their head in defeat - now lays before B, sobbing for them to stop, to let them go. In other words: B has destroyed A.

6. When confronting the old friend group about an incident, the character is forced to believe it was their new friends who did it after receiving a very convincing denial, ‘proof’ and all.

7. “Are you sure it wasn’t (new friend)? They have access to your locker right?”

8. “It has to have been you! You’re the only one I told about this!”

9. As a way to lose trust among the group, the old friend group does little things to irk the new group. Things that could be brushed off as coincidences or accidents until it’s too much to be such. (Prompt 10 can kinda go with this!)

10. “Then how did it get into your bag!?”

11. Another idea that goes with #9 is to break all the sports equipment, again as a way to shatter the trust among the group (because of course it could only be someone within the group, right?)

12. Scare the captured character by making them believe they were forgotten about by their captor

13. For added angst make the captor someone the captured knows >:)

Hi! I hope these are what you're looking for and help in your writing journey! (just realized that most, if not all of these have it where brainwashing is more a superpower and not the actual phycological thing people do to others. Sorry if you were looking for the something more along the latter!)

Hurt/Comfort Centered

There are some nasty after affects on Person A after being brainwashed, Person B helps them through it (after affect ideas: nausea, nightmares, headaches, fatigue, mobility issues)

Person A remembers something they said to Person B while under the influence and begins to spiral with negative thoughts; Person B is there to reassure

A sees something (on the news or through a vision) or has a feeling something will happen to or around B at a certain place. B however doesn't buy into it and intends to still go out. A brainwashes them into staying. As it turns out, something was going to happen where B meant to go.

"You were right... I'm sorry" "It's not your fault"

Fluff Centered

Person A lost a bet to B and now they must act as A’s servant (A is is still in control of thoughts and such just not their movements)

Prank time! A has brainwashed B so that whenever a key word/phrase is said they say something else instead. (Ex: When A wants to say "yes" they say "no" instead)

Person A is part of some kind of team (sports or something else). They're scare of or unable to do xyz. B brainwashes them, giving them the courage to do/making them do xyz

Power switch! A used to be able to have the ability to brainwash but after x happens B now has that power. Chaos ensues.

Do you have any ideas for Hero discovers Villain is a close friend of theirs by unmasking them, and while they’re in shock, Villain unmasks THEM, finding out that they’ve been trying to kill someone they’re close t, but they don’t back down and still try to kill them?

AHHHH the angst Anon! So good but it hurts. Also, no worries, you can never be too specific <3! Here are some dialogue and other prompt ideas. I also expanded the idea just a little for prompts for the aftermath of the fight. So sorry for the wait on this and as always, feel free to tweak as you see fit!

Dialogue;

1. "It's you? You're behind this? I... never would have guessed." "I could say the same..."

2. "Woah! Hey, stop would you!" "Why should I!?"

3. "Just because we're friends by day doesn't mean we aren't enemies by night."

4. "I didn't want to... but I had to."

5. “What an ugly side of yourself you kept hidden from me.”

6. “Please! Tell me this is a dream!”

7. The blade at their throat remained in its place, “this changes nothing.”

8. "I'll make sure this city knows you dealt you your demise."

Prompts;

-> At the end of your story you could have the winner of the fight (provided that one does die) remove a prominent accessory (necklace, ring etc.) of the other to keep as a reminder of what’s transpired.

-> To go with the above point you can also make it where the hero/villain quietly admits to themselves that they still cared about the other. Given the circumstances though one still had to die (prompt 4 can go with this idea!)

-> While the villain attacks the hero have the hero on the defense because they refuse to harm their friend. All while they dodge each attack the hero is yelling out all the good times they shared in hopes to calm and stop the other - to find some semblance of the friend they know. Dissuade them from continuing.
