Okay 2014, you’ve met your match. That’s right, make way, ‘cuz 2015 is right around the corner. And with the New Year comes great respon . . . er . . . parties! Yup, lots of great parties, lots of great drinks, and a helluva lot of great food. So, we thought we’d help do our part to make sure that you are off to a great start with a comprehensive guide to New Year’s Eve in Fairfield County. We’re covering as much as FC as possible with lots of choices for ya!

Walrus + Carpenter: your NYE will be 80 Proof (just 40% ABV?) with 80’s live music, an Atari challenge, a prix fixe menu, and drink pairings. Here’s the menu and be sure to e-mail Adam at [email protected] for your spot. The first course includes Pork Belly and Picked Shrimp; the 2nd is a choice of Lamb Chops, Oysters Rockefeller, or Kale Salad; the 3rd is Smoked Rib-Eye, Lobster + Scallops, or Bacon Wrapped Squab; the 4th is Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse Cake, Lemon Curd Tart, or a Cookie Plate.
Ibiza: this great Spanish tapas restaurant will be featuring a prix fixe menu for $55 with lots of Cava. When we get a menu, we’ll be sure to share.

Craft 260: it’s a very New England Brewing NYE at Craft 260! They will have 8 NEBCO brews on tap for your drinking pleasure all damn night and they will be providing a 6 course meal, too. Tickets are $125, including tax and tip. To get your tix, just stop by.
Ginger Man: info to come.
JHouse: for $75, you get live music from the Funky Red Hot Band, 2 drinks, and get to party from 10-1:30. Tickets on sale on their site soon.
Morello Bistro: eat up a la carte or pick their special holiday prix fixe menu. At midnight they’ll have a Prosecco toast.
South End: Chef Nick Martschenko will be featuring a 4 course tasting menu. Check back on their site for the awesomeness.
Bar Sugo: Chef Pat Pascarella has lots planned for you with three seatings at 5:30, 7:30, and 9:30. He’ll be serving up a prix fixe menu for $79 (tax and tip extra) with a chance to get wine pairings added for an extra $49 per person. If you get the 9:30 spot, you’ll get a free glass of champagne to toast the New Year!
Mama’s Boy Southern Table & Refuge: for $85, you’ll get a three course dinner with a complimentary glass of bubbly.
O’Neill’s: get yourself some luck ‘o the Irish with prix fixe dinners starting at 5, a champagne toast starting at 7 with your meal and at midnight, and live music by Tangled Vine. Get your reservations by calling them up at (203) 838-0222.
The Spread: if there’s one thing true in this world, it’s that The Spread kills it with their parties! This NYE, it’ll be no different! Join them from 7-11 for passed hors d’oeuvre, a 4 course sit down dinner, a photo booth, music from DJ Dharma, and of course a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $100 and can be reserved online or by calling them at (203) 939-1111.

Washington Prime: dinner seatings are at 6:45 or 8:45 and feature a 5 course menu at $70 per person. Here’s the cool part: you pick 3 course’s and Chef Jared Falco will pick 2 courses himself for your meal. The after-dinner party starts at 10:30 and features DJ Rob Muskus and DJ Brian Webster. In addition, there will be drink specials all night and a champagne toast at midnight. Get your reservations by calling them at (203) 857-1314.
Georgetown Saloon: we have confirmed that there will be a special menu, so come down, check out what Chef John Brennan is cooking up, and celebrate with 30 brews on tap. More info when we get it.
Bailey’s Backyard: Check out Bailey’s brand new winter menu (starts next week) as well as new cocktails. In addition, Chef Pasternack will be featuring New Year’s Eve specials that you won’t want to miss.
Bank Street Events (via Nikki from EOS): come down to the beautiful Bank Street Events in the heart of Downtown Stamford for a great New Year’s Eve! The party starts at 10 and goes until 2 with DJ Eddie Casanova spinning. There will be a complete open bar with food buffets so you can party all night long. Tix are $125 and need to be purchased at bankstreetevents.com or by calling (203) 325-2739.
Bar BQ/McFadden’s: you’ll get access to two of Stamford’s hottest bars for the price of just $85. That includes a 4 hour open bar from 8-12, a complete dinner buffet from 8-10, music from DJs at both spots, plenty of party favors, and a champagne toast at midnight. Check in at McFadden’s to start off the night.

Coalhouse Pizza: Gerard is the man and he’s making the end of 2014 a very Dogfish holiday with over 30 (YES, 30) Dogfish Head brews on tap. We think your New Year’s resolution should be to drink every single draft that night. Don’t worry, there’s a brunch the next morning so that you can recover.
Dolce Cubano: come down to the Stamford waterfront for a 9:30 seating with 4 courses, a DJ, a champagne toast, and plenty of dancing. Tix are $99 (tax and tip extra) and can be made by calling up (203) 817-0700.
The Fez: one of our favorite spots in Fairfield County, The Fez is always an awesome place to spend NYE! They’ll be ringing in the New Year with DJ Kabobulator with a costume theme of SciFi. Sick!
Gastro Bar: for just $50, you’ll get an open bar for all mid-level drinks from 9-12 and DJ Rob Newberry will be spinning starting at 9. In addition, there will be a champagne toast at midnight. For reservations or a VIP Table call up (203) 767-5686. You can also ask them about special hotel rates that they have available for you.
Paloma: for $75-85 (depending on the entree you order), you’ll get an amuse bouche to start off the night, a starter, an entree, and a dessert with a sparkling glass of wine. You can only get this prix fixe menu with reservations and those start at 5 with the last seating at 9:45. You can also get an a la carte version of the menu at the bar with no reservation required. Also, the bar will stay open until 2 am with a 50% discount on all bubbly from 11-2. Plus, there will be plenty of party favors. Sign of the Whale: there are three ways to go crazy on NYE at Sign of the Whale!
1) Silver Package: 6 pm dinner with a prix fixe menu from Chef Walter Estrada. Tix are $45 and don’t include alcohol or tip.
2) Gold Package: 5 hour top shelf open bar from 8-1 with a full dinner buffet from 8-10, party favors, a champagne toast, and even free valet parking. Tix are $75.
3) Platinum Package: you get the top shelf open bar, a full prix fixe menu at your choice of 8 or 8:30, a reserved table all night long, and everything else from the Gold Package. Tix are $125.
Parallel Post: enjoy a four course menu for $45 per person or $60 if you’d like wine/beer tastings and a glass of champagne. Seatings are from 5-11 and include Endive Salad with beets, pomegranate, goat cheese, figs, walnuts and Clementine vinaigrette; Grilled Rabbit Rack with sweet potato, Benton’s bacon, greens and roasted vegetables; and a rich Espresso Chocolate Cake.
Kawa Ni/The Whelk/LeFarm: it’s business as usual at The Whelk and LeFarm, but Chef Bill Taibe shares that you can look forward to New Year’s sake bomb toasts! Is there really a better way to start the year off than with one of Jeff’s concoctions? Plus, please don’t forget that they’ll be donating a portion of profits of sales on NYE to a very important local charity.
