These are my research pages for Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2021. In these pages, I investigated Sacai’s and Prada’s collections. Sacai was inspired by inspirational quotes and has themes of diversity. The silhouettes of Sacai Spring/Summer 2021 consists of tanks tops, wrap skirts and long loose shirt dresses. The patterns that were used in this collection are neon light installations, gothic fonts and patchwork. The colour palette of this collection is black and brown. As for Prada, the inspiration behind the collection was 90s fashion and had themes of miuccia. The silhouettes of Prada Spring/Summer 2021 consists of trousers, sleeveless tunic-length tees with triangle logos supersized and implanted below the neckline, hoodies and full skirts. The patterns used in this collection are streamlining and “ugly” prints. The colour palettes of this collection are monochrome and pastel colours. These are my London fashion week S/S 21 research pages. For this research, I investigated two designer collections which are Nensi Dojaka and Vivienne Westwood. Nensi Dojaka was inspired by geometry, layering and 3D engineering. The theme in Nensi Dojaka’s collection is lingerie, which silhouettes consists of trousers and spaghetti-strapped bodysuits. The colour palette used in this collection is black and the fabrics are tulle and organza. As for Vivienne Westwood, she was inspired by culture and activism. Her themes were Savile Row tailoring and punk clothing. The silhouettes used for her collection were slattern blouses and panelled linen bombers. Patterns consisted of giant pin stripes, giant spots and spots that were so tiny that they look like a dust of colour. Colours used were primary colours, secondary colours and monochrome.
