Today, 6 years and a month ago the Italian medical school story started, and looking back I am happy I can share the same sentiment as Julius Caesar: ‘’Veni, vidi, vici’’ – I came, I saw, and I conquered. Grateful to the Good Lord that gives opportunity to those who will dare to believe, dream, and work hard towards making it all a reality. It has been an amazing experience of growth that I will forever cherish. When asked how to best summarize these past 6 years of my life in Italy: Focus comes to mind, intense focus that I never thought I had so much of and similarly, the zest and drive it took to get to the finish line within time, despite the many agonising obstacles that threatened to detour my goal. Not failing to mention what it cost me along the way, but I am positive the future will compensate me well for those loses incurred in this pursuit.
