Fingers twists with themselves tersely; her eyes glancing up towards where she kept her diploma and various awards from her schooling. They were tucked away in a corner on one of the surfaces in her room, where they wouldn’t draw too much attention. While many would of shown pride over such accomplishments, however juvenile they may be, she couldn’t help but feel nothing.
Of course... Jaehee had always felt nothing when it came to her hard work, only a vague sense of relief when it was done and squared away, no matter if she received praise for it. Despite being far away from her childhood home, the coldness that her aunt made such to instill in her with sharp words and a gaze that was far from kind or nurturing followed her and persisted in her adulthood.
Although, even if she felt uncomfortable relying such information, Mina made her want to try and at least peek out of such a lonely shell. Made her want to seek warmth.
A small hummed sound escaped her lips, smile touching on her lips softly as she glanced down to her phone; sitting on her desk with the speaker on to better talk with Mina while working. “Ah... I’m afraid I might of been rambling. Forgive me.” Her fidgeting stopped, small sigh escaping her as fingers rested on the keyboard.
“I’m sorry if I’ve made you uncomfortable. I haven’t talked about my family in... well, I guess I just haven’t talked about them.” Small smile marrs her lips, even if the other can’t see it. “-- I think I will be content, however... with being forgotten, not leaving a mark... as long as I still hold a place in your mind.”
