Going out of town for Christmas wasn't something Tsurugi necessarily wanted to do. Spending the holiday with his family was a tradition though, and as much as he'd have preferred to stay in Toshi City, he'd been more or less guilt tripped into this little vacation. And not that he didn't like his family, of course not, there just happened to be another person he'd have liked to spend Christmas with this year.
And it goes without saying that Tsurugi's phone didn't leave his hands unless completely necessary. Texting was the next best thing, after all. He felt bad, a bit guilty, for not being able to spend this holiday with Hakuryuu; despite the younger male telling him it was fine. At least three times.
"I'm still sorry."'That's the 4th time you've said it, Tsurugi. It's fine! You'll be back soon anyway. I'll save your present until then.'
Tsurugi can feel his lips purse in a struggle to keep himself from smiling, which doesn't exactly make sense considering he's alone at the moment. It's still embarrassing. Fingers hesitate on his phone for just a second, the corners of his mouth twitching somewhat.
Needless to say it was a good few minutes until he got a reply and it almost made him laugh out loud.
'I miss you too. You better get me a good present to make up for this.'
It was only a few days, after all.
