We need you to show up to stand in solidarity against infanticide in Oregon! On Tuesday, May 28th, we are holding a lobby day at the state capitol to bring attention to this issue. We will be going to every legislator's office to ask them to vote YES on the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act. Please come for as long as you are able. Staff will be available in Hearing Room 50 the whole morning to provide instructions and direct you where to go. Wear a pro-life t-shirt if you have one. We will have stickers available as well. Together let's send a message that infanticide has no place in Oregon! #abortionisnothealthcare #resistinfanticide #stopinfanticide #protectbornbabies #togetherweadvocate @chemeketa_for_life @studentsforlife https://www.instagram.com/p/BxlH1jZjoNy/?igshid=nf0exb2bf008
Join us May 28 from 9-noon at the state capitol for the Stop Infanticide Lobby Day. Lobbying can be intimidating, but we are planning on making this as easy as possible for all of us and we are doing it together. All you have to do is show up. Your passion to protect the innocent is more than enough. #togetherweadvocate We are looking forward to being with you all at the capitol on this important day. Here are a few more details to help give you an idea of what we are planning. When you get downtown, parking can be a bit tricky. It is best if you plan an extra 15 minutes in your drive to look for parking Parking on the street at a meter is $1.50 an hour. We will meet at 9 am in Hearing Room 50. Hearing Room 50 is located on the ground floor. When you enter the capitol (first floor) take the stairs that lead you down to the cafe. We will have a sign outside the door so you can't miss it. We are planning on having some water and snacks available for you. You can get lunch at the capitol cafe, bring your own, or when we are through there are a few restaurants around the building. No one will be lobbying legislators alone. We are going to groups folks together and will provide you with a packet of information on the bills to leave behind at the legislator's office. We will also have a short training session on what to do and say. Many of the legislators will be on the floor that morning. It is likely that we will be talking to staff. They are incredibly important because they relay information to the legislator. Lastly, we will have a photo booth set up in the hearing room with signs pictured above. #stopinfanticide #resistinfanticide #protectbornbabies See you there! https://www.instagram.com/p/Bx0ksufjtow/?igshid=zocsd85xtyft
