It has been such a long time since I made a tutorial, lol but let’s get to work, so on this tutorial requested by @daayre, I’ll be explaining how to do something like the picture above.
P.D:
English is not my first language, so I apologize in advance for any errors.
Requirements for this tutorial:
Photoshop (I’ll be using CC for mac. For download links check here)
HQ Screencaps
Textures
Time and patience
Knowledge in background removal and texture use
━ The first thing you’ll need is either a screencap or a picture without background, if you don’t know how to do it, check out any of the following tutorials:
━ Now, you’ll have to create a new file, with your desired dimensions, mine will be the following:
━ For my background, I’ll be using #b2cbf1 from this palette made by @dailypalettes
and the following textures:
By @mixsourcers
By RavenOrlov
Both set to screen
You can find similar textures on our grainy or grunge tag and on RavenOrlov’s textures pack.
━ Here is the Silhouette I used for the background:
To make it white I applied a black and white gradient map set to reverse
and then merged both layers together
the resulting layer was set to screen and I got this
You can find similar stuff on the decorative and geometric tag, also you can google whatever you want along with the word “shape” or “Silhouette” by example “Punch Silhouette”.
━ Next I dragged the Matt Murdock picture and resize it to my liking:
To finish my graphic I applied this psd, credit goes to @itscolour and I sharpened the picture using this action by @lewispastel
It’s that time of the year again! and I come bearing gifts for all of you who follow this blog and the tumblrverse. I created a resources pack (some are mine, some are not) that includes:
PSDs | Textures | Fonts |
━ Please like or reblog if you download
━ Credit the maker
━ Do not repost
━ Feedback is cool
