As we touched down on my Delta Airlines flight from Atlanta to Boston, the flight attendant made an announcement on the Public Address system. She notified us that we were sharing a flight with a military serviceman who has been serving our country for quite a while and now he was coming home. After a exuberant round of applause, she then asked that everyone stay seated so he could exit the aircraft first and make his way to his family. Of course we would. As the serviceman passed by me. I opened my mouth to thank him, but he thanked me first. As he stepped off the plane, we gave him another nice round of applause. American respect and honor is alive and well, folks. God Bless America.
