I truly believe that hell resides in poorly made software that you are forced to use because you are at a college or high school or job or whatever.
there is a unique kind of despair I feel when navigating such systems, clearly no one making it cared, or maybe if they did they were rushed so much by their supervisors that they didn't have time to make it good.
I often find myself asking why the software is like this but the answer is always the same, institutions do not care if the software runs worse then anything you've ever used ever, if it technically gets the job done and it's the cheapest option available, they will go for it every time. The companies themselves have no incentive to make the software good because they know the institutions don't care at all, and thus the users are left with the bag, a barely functional software solution that you could say "works"
