Stay in your homes they say. I go to work.

Stay six feet apart. My coworker hands me a box. Nightly curfew? I'm exempt.

On my lunch break I see videos of millionaires complaining about isolation. I am no longer hungry. My head hurts and it's hard to breathe, is this panic or is it my turn. The alarm goes off and it's back to work. I am an essential service.

I think about what I'm bringing home to my wife.

What if my mother gets sick?

If I get sick how will I feed my family?

how many times have I come into work sick? A woman coughs. Everyone leaves the area except me. I have work to do.

The internet tells me I am a pillar of society. The people who come to shop say I am not doing enough. I know once this is over I will be forgotten again. I feel forgotten now.
