I’m so amused that you don’t like the musical music!!! My husband is right there with you. I don’t know that much about musicals but apparently there are TONS of references to specific musicals and the musical geeks are having a field day. And YES. Riot Coordinator!! I also LOLed at “pointless faffing about”, I’m not a fan of that either hahahaha

Aye, all a matter of taste :) I do believe the boys have mentioned being huge fans of musicals too, so no wonder they’d have references all over the place. At least there was riot coordinator indeed ;) Thank you!

Yep. (Sort of) Musical geek having a field day indeed! That was actually my highlight. I’m listening to the songs all day now.

The beauty of our boys: we can like different things and there’s still something for everyone to enjoy and laugh about :D

   I‘m still a bit mad that they try to sell it as a new idea when some of us remember infusicals. It‘s a bit like ‚Ytterst på tissen’. They take their own joke and at some point take it seriously enough to really make something out of it.    

I totally agree...they have done it before but as long as the idea is good I'm ok with that...:) Maybe we should dig more into their earlier jokes/works to see what will come out next after Stories from Norway...😂😂😂

Hey. I've got a video question and maybe you can help: Do you by any chance remember which interview it was where Taron adresses the white male mid-twenties casting? I think it was a Golden Circle interview but I could be wrong. I couldn't find it again so far and I rewatched a few already. I think he basically acknowledged knowing that there are a lot of those out there and that it has an effect on casting decisions and opportunities. I love that he is very aware of this.

I’m pretty sure he talked about that on the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast in 2016, during Eddie the Eagle press

Just one two things I don’t like about myself that make it hard to answer this question: procrastinating and overthinking. 

Now for the five things I like about myself…

1. I’m good at listening. Even if I’m terribly annoyed by the person talking, I can still listen and remember what they say.

2. I haven’t given up on Norwegian! I can understand what is going on in SKAM as long as the Norwegian subtitles are on. I don’t listen to Norwegian conversation everyday so obviously my listening/speaking skills are severely lacking.

3. I’m motivated to cook well. I’m not super creative so I rely on tried-and-tested tips from the internet instead of figuring it out myself, but that’s how I like to work.

4. Resourcefulness when finding things on the internet. That helps with no. 3 and other trivial problems.

5. Throughout my childhood the adults in my life labelled me “quiet” and “shy”; my mom complained I never changed. Not surprising since no one cared or tried to help in that area. I like that as I got older and could plan my own activities, I deliberately signed up for jobs/volunteer positions that would force me to interact with strangers. That’s how I got over certain hang-ups, through desensitization. Still way behind other people my age but I think I will catch up eventually…in 30 years. lol.

This was harder than I thought it would be, but I gave it a shot :) 

1) My growing confidence and acceptance of myself as I get older. I’m not saying I am a very confident person, but I have really become more comfortable with myself (both mentally and physically) in the past few years, and it has made a big difference in so many aspects of my life. I’m not all the way “there” yet, but I am better than I used to be. 

2) My empathy and understanding. I try to always understand where other people are coming from. I don’t always achieve it, but I do try. This doesn’t mean I always agree or accept another person’s point of view or position, but I do try to make sense of why they think the way they do. 

3) My ability to be self-aware and mindful. I work hard to be aware of my shortcomings and reactions in situations. I am not always able to correct them, but I am of the opinion that being self-aware of one’s faults (and strengths for that matter) goes a long way and is a desirable quality to have. 

4) My willingness to try new things, even if they push me well beyond my comfort zone. There were many things in my childhood and early adult life that I wanted to do but could not for a number of reasons. So, I have tried in the last few years to put aside my fears of looking foolish and do the things I want to do and/or always wanted to but was never able to. I have traveled more (even to Norway twice), I play on a soccer team, I have learned a new language, I have recently started taking an adult beginner ballet class, and I have made some amazing friends through all of this. I have fewer regrets and am happier. 

5) My smile (because as part of my growing confidence, I have found I have become more comfortable with my appearance).

hobbies

I don’t have enough time or money for all the hobbies I want to invest myself in. Photography, gardening, reading, writing, music... there’s just too much to do and so little time.

Amuse you? Okay. How about the fact that I once almost knocked myself out with a basketball during gym class. But if you rather have questions than stories how about these: If you could form a new band to promote, what would you call them? What would be the most useless merchandise you want to produce for them?

OH my god that basketball story… and I thought I was environmentally challenged!

I would call the band…. Space Pirates and produce… small like power ranger dolls of them. :D
