Lucille stopped to find somebody in front of her, she'd never seen them before... Though maybe in a magazine or something because the individual seemed to ring a bell or two. Nonetheless, the ace trainer waved and greeted the stranger, "Hi," she said, it was a bit awkward since she wasn't used to greeting strangers like this (she, more or less, just went up to them and challenged them really). "Um, who are you?" She asked.
I swear I'm not trouble! || Austin and Steven
After managing to catch a joltik on one of his rare excursions outside of Nimbasa, Austin could only say this: it was a terrible decision. Sure, it was cute as hell (even he had to admit that), and sure, it could evolve into an extremely strong pokemon, but the trouble that the little bugger brought was definitely not worth it. It couldn't at all get along with Alex, was as energetic as it was cute, and surprisingly hard to please. All in all, he just knew it was going to cause him trouble.
Which was why he was running through the crowds of people at the Battle Subway, constantly muttering apologies to unfortunate passerbys as he tried to keep the bugger in sight. Frown etched onto his face, Austin could only sigh and stop, looking around for the electric pokemon that was far too tiny to be reasonable. It just wasn't there. Panic began to well in his chest (it was still his own pokemon, after all), he almost started freaking out- until he heard a familiar chattering sound. Following that sound, his eyes landed upon a rather puzzled looking man- and a ball of yellow in his hair.
Quickly jogging up to him, Austin embarrassedly recalled the bug into its pokeball, then gave a small bow.
"Sorry," he mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "He's still young and energetic, and really hard to keep an eye on... But I guess I should introduce myself. My name's Austin- I'm just a local trainer. Nice to meet you, I guess...?" Laughing a bit nervously, the ace trainer didn't even bother asking for the other man's name- he already knew it, and needless to say, was embarrassed enough to die that his joltik had to pick that particular head to try to sleep in.
The song 'Harmony' from IP Man's soundtrack just gives me so many humour Terrakion feels I had to add it to his playlist.
(Especially in his interactions with Steven or Virizion. Mostly Steven though XD;)
Have a listen. XD;
The Winter Solstice @retiredlegend
The months passed, and eventually, the world gave way to the bitter cold of a full Unovian winter, turning the landscape into a monochrome of greys. The sky overhead remained heavy with clouds, rarely letting the light through.
The day of the solstice approached, and soon enough, it was the 21st of December. Terrakion paid no heed to human dates - he just knew when it was the time.
The majority of the day, the Earth Guardian made sure that Celeste was going to be looked after with the dragon family downstairs so that he could be alone. That, and he also anticipated the arrival of Steven Stone.
Settling down in his den, the Muskedeer had had a lot to think about over the many months that had passed. In addition to his memories of Isamu slowly returning to him, he had also taken on board his brother's thoughts on the matter. It was with a somewhat anxious heart that he put his head on his front legs and dozed off into a restless slumber.
Would the human come?
Maybe to you, but not to me!
Coffee Break
retiredlegend:
The cup of coffee was, at this point, forgotten. He had better things to think about. Namely, what the girl was saying. He raised a brow at her actions and words, then chuckled a bit. Ah, he supposed not everyone was willing to divulge information. What she was offering was quite enticing, remarkably alluring.
It was bait he simply could not ignore.
Still, he had to be careful. She sought something in return, so he had to make sure to make the offer be to standards. He could certainly not offer to give her half of what he found the first round, no. He wasn’t sure if she was interested in money, either.
“Mutual benefit, you say?” He asked, his lips quirking slightly in an odd sort of half-smile. “What exactly would you be interested in?” He was genuinely curious, but it was also a business tactic. He had to know what she was after to see if he could offer something similar that wouldn’t be much of a loss, in a way.
Sort of.
On the downside, he was slightly disappointed that he had to haggle for information, but it was much too important.
A little smirk kept on her face as the male seemed to have been more than excited to hear that she did in fact have some news to share. Though the information she had would just be.. Common sense for the natives. Fortunately for her.. It appeared she had the visitor around her fingertips.
"Mutual benefits.. That is correct." Though there was not necessary anything that caught her interest at the moment, maybe if she was able to build a sort of.. Network with the light haired male she'd be able to take advantage of it later on. Who knows.. Maybe just knowing him would open some doors of opportunity for her. He did after all have an impressive outfit.. For someone who was going out to do some digging. A sort of.. High end outfit of that kind.
"As for what I want.." She started off, tucking her hands under her chin. "In a way.. An IOU.. Perhaps.. Just having a sort of.. Little friendship between us." The girl gingerly smiled, her gaze shifting to the side to study the champion's face. "You don't think.. That'd be.. Too.. Much?"
