Austin's got a Rumbly in his Tumbly (Austin & Lucille)
Lucille just inwardly groaned as she finally came back to reality, she figured seeing Austin for the first time in a long time surprised her a little (READ: A lot). She brushed her clothes and stepped out from behind the bush, carefully making sure her skirt didn’t get caught on the thorns whilst doing so. ‘Making sure I didn’t look stupid? As if,’ she was going to say, but Lucille figured that making it drag on will just give her a headache later.
“Oh? Someone looks unhappy.” She said, both feet on the ground and her all her stuff in her small bag slung across her shoulder. To come out to the middle of nowhere to relax huh? ‘Sounds fun.’ she thought sarcastically, “Did someone bully little Austin?” She said mischievously, come on now, Austin wasn’t the only one who could tease here.
“Oh, I was just digging for gems and rocks and stuff,” she said, sighing, “Until somebody came along.” But it wasn’t too bad, she was pretty much finished anyways, her small drawstring bag was full of orbs and precious rocks now, so she was a happy chappy. Lucille took the bag from her shoulder and held it in front of Austin, “Rocks and Gems and Orbs galore!” She said, content at her hard days work, bending over so long really kills your back… She was about to open her mouth and say something when a loud rumble seemed to come out of nowhere, it wasn’t her… Or Whimsicott… She looked at Austin with the most deadpan expression ever, which slowly cracked into a cheeky smile. Lucille could tell he was trying to cover it up, ‘tough luck Austin’.
She put her bag back on her shoulder and linked arms with him, tugging him towards the direction of Nimbasa City, “Let’s walk and talk,” she said, she was getting a little hungry too to be honest. “As much as I love Castelia,” she started, “I have stuff to do in Nimbasa.” She looked at Austin then at Whimsy to make sure he was following. “Don’t you have like, people to battle or something?” She asked, “You should do more stuff with your time than battling, doing the same thing over and over again gets boring, doesn’t it?” She asked again. Lucille was more or less all over the place, but Austin was usually here in Nimbasa, sometimes the Trainer would wonder why but she figured it’s each to their own.
"Bully?" Austin snorted at the thought, a faint trace of disdain in his expression. "As if. More like they got upset when they failed to. I'm not a pushover, you know." The idiots from before didn't seem to understand that he was well known at the amusement park for a reason. Oh well, it didn't particularly matter now anyways. Lifting his chin up just the slightest, he cast her a smirk. "And now they know, too." Lucille's teasing didn't bother him as much as she'd probably hoped for; instead, it even served to lift his spirits that much more. Nice try, Lucille.
"You were digging... On the surface. Behind a clump of bushes." Quirking a brow, Austin's preexisting smirk widened, the amusement in it as clear as day. No matter how full of rocks her little bag seemed to be, it was still pretty great. "You're... Pretty spectacular." And if Lucille knew him at all, she'd know he wasn't complimenting her. Mind you, he wasn't insulting her, either; just teasing her, as was necessary for Austins to do. "Looks like you really did do a good job, though." Ah, was that a compliment? "Well, for a Pigtails, anyways." Not anymore.
At the deadpan look he received, the ace trainer's cheeks reddened slightly- then even more so as a cheeky smile broke through on his old friend's face. As she linked arms with him, he could only roll his eyes. "Sure, whatever," Austin mumbled, though he was still inwardly grateful she didn't directly comment on it. His gaze soon returned to her, though, an eyebrow cocked and slight curiosity in his eyes. "Oh, do you now?" Lucille? Having business? Even when being serious, he found it hard to imagine she wasn't secretly just having a leisurely trip. It was Nimbasa, after all. "Like what?" He asked, before blinking at being asked pretty much the same question.
"I've already finished that for today, you know. Besides, I don't have to battle people every day anyways." Lucille's next comment, however, made him come to a pause, and a strange silence ensued. Eventually, though, he just shrugged casually, a bored tone to his voice. "Well, what else is there to do?" It's not like he could leave. Not when everyone that mattered was always wandering about, appearing in a flash and disappearing just as fast; to leave was to lose, and so he waited.
"Eh, it's not boring. Spending time with my pokemon is pretty nice, you know. Plus, if there's any one place that can keep you entertained, it's Nimbasa. Plenty of stuff to do around here." Using his free hand, the ace lightly flicked Lucille's shoulder. "Geez, Pigtails, you act like battling is the only thing I do."
