Finally finished this DMG Gameboy mod! Pretty much the only thing original left are the battery terminals, the cartridge slot and its board, power switch and the sound board.
All new screen with 30 something color modes and 20 something levels of brightness, custom Mizucat Pastel Boy shell, pink membranes with Midnight Opal buttons from retro game repair shop, funny playing speaker, and a whole lot of shaving to make everything fit XD. The power indicator LED on the new screen board was actually so bright it was hurting my eyes! Had to use some spare speaker foam i had laying around and stuffed it into between the LED and the back of the screen's lens so I can play with the screen facing me!
Plays very well, and I havent even had to change the batteries yet. Still using the old batteries from before it was modded!
With all said and done, probably my favorite mod ive done so far!
