thank you foxman for your donation to tlatoanitsin for this giant skeletal xylophone! the immobile remains of an ancient beast lie half buried, bleaching in the sun. it plays its own ribs like a xylophone using its tail. it would probably be a bad idea to get stuck in the ribcage. thank you alraumon for your donation to tlatoanitsin for this leucochloridium-infected snail with a skull for a shell! this snail is a multi-step parasite. first the flatworm takes over the snail, then the flatworm-snail takes over a head. it roves around purposefully as though searching for the creature that forms the next step. each step gains hypnotic eyes of concentric green and yellow rings. thank you esme for your donation to the buscadores for this mon based on the jaw of st anthony! san campanero opens portals from elsewhere, armour shining gold and white. it seems to keep him alive no matter how little is left. there is no end to the length of his body, which is dessicated by aeons of exposure to space. if you pray, he might turn and notice you with his empty helmet.

another decent chunk of progress! thank you colgate for your donation, which was then given to tlatoanitsin himself, david cayetano, to give a prompt! he requested a flying mushroom. this creature, which grows from an old log, flies using nets of mycelium, and consumes organic matter by landng on it and then staying still for a long time, during which it appears nothing more than an inert log once more. thanks again to st hiccup for your donation for these mardi gras creatures! i finished the first form of this guy today. their designs have elements of carnival masks and headdresses, and festival animal costumes. thank you alraumon for your donation for this hocus and pocus pair! hocus and pocus are emergent halloween creatures, named as such by @bogleech in his excellent halloween bestiary series, which i am a long time fan of and was thrilled to be handed as a creature prompt. these two can stack together, using the pocus's tongue, to take the shape of one larger humanoid creature. pocus can barf out anything which would feasibly be put in a witch's brew (acid, potion with magical qualities, plague of frogs, etc), while hocus can reach inside itself and withdraw anything which might reasonably be pulled out of a magic hat. https://bogleech.com/halloween/hallbest-hocus thank you oldmanhobo for your donations for this halloween pumpkin-witch-ghost and prince rupert's drop creature! the ghost uses the contents of a bag of bags to form a body. another good night last night! the monster roster is now 24.37% complete! thank you st hiccup for your donation for an insectoid mardi gras kaiju! i really like this guy, was fun doing the textures of the rings of feathers round the body. this one will get a prevo soon. thank you giantgoose for your donation for a 2 word tiny guy "carnivorous horse"! the head/neck/body can open up all the way! thank you sprunny for your donation for this 2 stage pebble/crystal fiddler crab! the first stage is almost invisible on a shale beach, but the evo catches the light too brightly and must defend itself with its huge, showy claw. thanks to my grandma for your donation for this toe monster! it's a family in joke. if it grosses you out, it's working as intended! thank you A𝖆ġ̶͎u𝕚∂🅴ᄂfor your donation for this legendary monster, a chimera whose different body parts represent the states of matta, with solid legs, a plasma mane, gas wings, and a liquid tail. this was a difficult request but i'm very pleased with how neatly it came together.

thank you juke for your donation to tlatoanitsin, for this legendary, and i'll just put the prompt here, "the world's most fucked up slug dragon"! every since i got this prompt i knew i needed to make this dragon out of 2 slugs banging, which is what the wings and tail are. i am very pleased with how the real face, mantle, and breathing pore make such a good false whiskery dragon head shape. i also knew from the start that this guy needed a lot of teeth. his name is "54000 teeth", which is 2x the max teeth a slug has. thank you cadmium for your donation to the buscadores for this leopard slugs as actual leopards line! some straightforward guys this time, the vision was clear with these from the start. with the last stage i imagined that it would squash its head/neck down to create the shape of a mane, but it could also double its length by stretching out fully and lose all those neck wrinkles. slugs in general have so many fun textures and anatomical details, these guys were really a blast to do

thank you normalincafes for your donation to the buscadores for this goth goat/satyr line! for this line i was thinking of the divje babe bone flute, and ancient human costume traditions, the scraps of cultural memory we have of gods like cernunnos. this satyr plays a set of pipes made from a ribcage. there seem to be eyes inside, but the dark is so impenetrable that you can never get a glimpse of the owner of those eyes.

thank you mistaice for your donation to the buscadores, for this ghost possessing a fish skeleton! this one was really fun to make, to fit the shape of the fish into a puppeteer creature. i really enjoy the silhouette the fish skeleton created as a body, and the implied eyes. these monsters may be found picking over the tide line after a rough stormy night.

thank you kusa for your donation to the buscadores, for this garbage gnome! at one point these guys lived in the woods, covered themselves with leaves, and brandished branches with thorns. but the cities swallowed the woods, and they adapted well, like pigeons and rats. they like to live behind park toilets, under alley dumpsters, and other places where suitable garbage can be found.

thank you grey percival for your donation to tlatoanitsin for, and i’m just going to put your prompt here: “a borealopelta (a nodosaur) adapted for aquatic life. the only known specimen was found in a marine deposit, and was believed to have drifted to sea when it died, and i am tickled by the idea of it just being a highly derived marine nodosaur” this is such a nice concept, a fun twist on an incredible fossil, right up my alley.
