Realised I'd never done any Doctor Who stuff in the River City Girls sprite style (which has become one of the main things I've been working in lately). The background here is from RCG2, but the Dalek and Eight here are from scratch, quite proud of how they turned out.

so i decided to have a go at making some custom Homestuck sprites, and decided to make versions of one of John's sprites from an imp strife for the rest of the beta kids, as well as a base! in the image above all sprites except for the one placed most to the left (John) were made by me. i'm very happy with how they turned out since this is one of my first few attempts at making decent sprite edits that aren't just recolors!!

these are free for you to use in your own fan adventure if you'd like! credit is appreciated but not required, as long as you do not claim to have made them yourself, or claim to have made the base yourself if you're using just that, it's fine by me :D (in fact if you do use it let me know i'd love to see my stuff being used by others!!!)

thank you juke for your donation to tlatoanitsin, for this legendary, and i'll just put the prompt here, "the world's most fucked up slug dragon"! every since i got this prompt i knew i needed to make this dragon out of 2 slugs banging, which is what the wings and tail are. i am very pleased with how the real face, mantle, and breathing pore make such a good false whiskery dragon head shape. i also knew from the start that this guy needed a lot of teeth. his name is "54000 teeth", which is 2x the max teeth a slug has. thank you cadmium for your donation to the buscadores for this leopard slugs as actual leopards line! some straightforward guys this time, the vision was clear with these from the start. with the last stage i imagined that it would squash its head/neck down to create the shape of a mane, but it could also double its length by stretching out fully and lose all those neck wrinkles. slugs in general have so many fun textures and anatomical details, these guys were really a blast to do

So last Christmas I spent a few months with my computer broken, which some of you may or may not remember. Because of that, I spent a lot of time on mobile. Mobile systems do not have... quite the art abilities that I am accustomed to, and it took some time to find ones that I could jive with. Pixel art, luckily, is pretty low-intensity. And despite the fact that I have not flexed my skills much in that area in the last decade, I used to consider myself a pixel artist at least as much if not more so than other forms of digital art, and nearing traditional art as well. All of that is to say, here! It's me! Done in a Homestuck talksprite style! Gives me a chance to break out the trollsign I made myself, which is fun.  Maybe not quiiite faithful to the typical style, but I think it came out well regardless, though the shirt does look more than a little tight on retrospect. Does this count as a kidsona? Got the 4-letter-name down pat and all.
