Bouncy Cars is a Commodore 64 top-down racing game developed by Rudolf Rönsch and released on the German magazine '64'er' in 1994.
You control a car trying to finish races within a time limit, either in single-player or versus mode (there are no CPU opponents). Success hinges on avoiding track edges, which otherwise create an annoying pinball effect that temporarily messes with your control and can ruin your chances of completing laps in time.
The game is actually pretty easy though; I only started to struggle after more than a dozen races when boredom set in, so I began challenging myself by taking more difficult routes. Versus mode is way more fun, which suggests the game was really designed with multiplayer in mind.
