i'm resisting the urge to list every marvel muse for mavis. i'm being so brave. in terms of other space people, i have john tracy!! he lives up on an earth monitoring space station and fields calls for rescue operations, so they would have a super easy meet. i have mon-el too, he's an alien bartender and he's got a similar :D vibe about him hehe and amy pond!! she'd be excited to say hi!!

erica and clary could be super fun actually? slap her into a shadowhunters verse and things could be interesting. a packless wolf showing up in pack territory. coming in the middle of some sort of shadowhunter-y mission. she won't ever leave anyone from the ny institute alone again! she's a menace! she's there! she's climbing in their windows!

i think gert and mavis should meet. i don't know what to expand upon that with but i do think it should happen. i think mavis would like old lace.

the skies are torrential today — a reflection of her mood, perhaps — the rain pounding down hard on the roof serving as background noise to a conversation that allison would really not rather have. she hasn't asked yet how kira got this address — from lydia, most likely — or how she knew she would actually be here — again, likely lydia. instead, she invited her in, put up a pot of tea, and headed straight to her armory. if kira was here seeking her out, whatever brought her here was urgent.

" well, with what we do, we sort of have to, no? " allison counters, making work of filling her quiver with freshly silver-tipped arrows, all supplies laid out on the stark and sterile kitchen counter. " if you've got things to get back to . . . " a life, perhaps, something she's generally avoided cultivating for herself, " look, i just mean to say, i can handle it on my own. i appreciate the warning, but you don't need to worry about me. " i don't want you stuck like i am, she adds silently.

For all that his attention span is lacking, Stiles has spent a remarkable amount of time trying to figure out what the look Erica is giving him means. Has he been on the receiving end of this one before? Certainly not from her. It's not the meek one that he would sometimes catch, before Derek decided to take a big ol' chomp out of her... wherever he bit. Not that he had a fuckin' clue what that had meant at the time, either. It's definitely not the sexy face, nor does it seem distinctly angry. So. He's at a loss. "Do I have something?" He wipes a hand across his own face, bewildered and potential covered in gogurt. "Did I get it?"

“  that is good, then.  ” her gaze is soft on odette, head tilting as she goes back to finishing up the meal she’s been making. shams has had this habit of cooking as a way of care. she doesn’t quite remember how it started, but she enjoyed it: perhaps it felt like a new way of tenderness and hope. she turns around to look at the other’s face and is reminded of the concern she still felt. she lifts her finger and places it below odette’s chin. “ do try to remember who you were before it all happened. ”

i will never go back to what i was. it may sound like a simple statement at this point, but she knows how suffering has changed people, how it has changed her. the knife still twists into her back as if it just happened yesterday. one moment she feels as light as a bird, the other she is stuck the ground, unable to move due to the pain that should have left her ages ago.

she wonders if she saw her wings now, would she reach out to feel them once again or would she cower?

a beat. shams hadn’t intended on remembering that event again, especially now. she shakes away the thought and glances at the food. she hands odette a plate before sitting back down. “ do you understand what i mean? ” she smiles, then, as soft as she can bear. that’s all that really matters at the moment.
