I’m rereading the bartimaeus trilogy and it had some pretty darn rigid guidelines and rules. Are you talking about something like that that you want?
kind of. i just get really frustrated especially when you get conflicting bits in canon and the answer to everything is to break the laws that the author hasn't even really defined, just generally suggested. and i get that sometimes they want to leave things in their world up to reader interpretation but god i just think about like harry potter where rowling would throw in bits like golpalott's laws and then it would never get mentioned again ever and you would just be sitting there trying to figure out what it all meant and god that still bothers me
