Great review.
“Shoes” is a very clever song that touches on racism, the relationship between two groups of oppressed people and just the perspective of being a black man. for 3 minutes worth of music it hit hard with deep messages...one of the reasons we love Kane Mayfield.

This is such a beautiful track. The lyrics are thoughtful, the production includes one of my all-time favorite samples (first heard on a Large Professor & Nas cut, I believe? “One Plus One”), and it marks that rare achievement of being entertaining & educational, without being preachy.
