Most customers that become regulars end up settling into a... comfort zone of sorts. There’s usually a specific table they hope to get, and a specific order they’re already set on getting before they even sit down. There was nothing wrong with such habits, of course. If anything, it made Ragna’s job easier when he can predict just what his customers want. However, certain habits tend to stick out more than others. And that was certainly true for Raven Branwen.
A woman of few words, Raven typically frequents the restaurant a couple of times a week. But when she does arrive, she doesn’t order a full meal like one would expect. Instead, she just vouches for a drink near the window, maybe with something small to nibble on over time. While such a pattern wouldn’t stick out for other customers, the owner certainly remembers anyone that breaks away from the norm. Today was no different, with Raven taking her usual seat after ordering the usual drink.
But rather than bring the order and head back to work, this time the chef ended up taking the seat opposite of the dark haired customer. This was a slow, quiet hour for business, so now would be a good time to strike up some small talk.
“Here’s your drink. But I gotta ask... What’s on your mind this time, Raven?“
