Pizza Hut is the latest fast food chain to announce a wave of permanent closures during the pandemic.
We’re going to start seeing much more of this slow trickle of events leading to the mainstream of civilization being totally and fully dependent upon technology and virtual means for survival. When options are limited and choices are streamlined to better accommodate the pandemic climate we currently find ourselves in; and possibly the long term -- the one source of our survival will require identification. The system will change in effort of ensuring humanity’s survival and in doing so will threaten our eternal survival.
The beast will require the world to change with it, and because people are living in a state of fear and anxiety due to the global pandemic, they are more readily willing to accept the measures taken to ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing (or so that’s what they’ll think)...even if it means giving up the freedoms and liberties we took for granted before -- when doing things in person -- like business, communication and shopping becomes a thing of the past.
