Now, granted, this probably was her fault, but Mabel would eat Great Uncle Stan’s cooking before admitting that. Pressing every button in the elevator is a great revenge to the person who would just LET the elevator almost close on her may have been an all right idea- if she didn’t get off on the top floor. She’d be damned now if she gets off and takes the stairs. She’s too much pride for that.
