Malachai has. So much crap in zer bag. But in zer pockets specifically I'd say it's mostly normal stuff. A small hand mirror, a signal whistle, and situationally, a tinderbox, some playing cards, or zer whistlecane (which is a small musical instrument). The spice pouch and purse are possibly on a belt but if not they can be in zer pockets too lol.

28. Malachai keeps secrets for two reasons. The first is that ze doesn't know who to trust right now. The only person ze could conceive of being vulnerable in front of is Vienna. But there are still plenty of things ze would not tell her for the simple reason that ze can't talk about certain things. You may have noticed Malachai isn't great with words. Well, the words just wouldn't come out. If really pushed to talk about certain things, the best Malachai could do would be a telepathic flash of fractured sight, or of overwhelming, brutal emotion.

I had been meaning to make fanart for "Where One Fell" as I continue to read it, but I learned it was @revasnaslan 's birthday, so I put this together as a gift too!

Thanks for your she-ra AU fics, I've been really enjoying them. I've also liked reading your she-ra commentary/crit too, I just like checking out detailed and thoughtful analysis, as well as the funnier posts. You've really added to my she-ra fandom experience--an AU focusing on a familial relationship between AU!Hordak/Hec-Tor and AU!Horde Prime/Anillis? getting a literal baby!Hordak as he grows up? yes please, pretty much what I wanted!!!--and I'm glad for that, especially during this time. Tbh you and other members and fanworks in parts of the she-ra fandom are inspiring my own ideas for she-ra AUs that I'm starting to brainstorm.

Sorry if this is a bit much for like--I think we've only spoken a little in the comments of "Where One Fell" before, but again I saw it was your bday and I had been meaning to sketch fanart for your fic and I thought I'd offer this for your bday celebrations.

Anyway, I hope you had a good birthday, and that you enjoy this art! It's inspired by the first chapter of "Where One Fell" where baby Hec-Tor's admiring the starlight glinting off Anillis's claws and Anillis is just watching his baby brother. I ended up taking some artistic liberties, like tweaking some body language and realizing "wait probably sketch a little something for the bat boys' sleepwear--ooh Anillis's bed hair!" (Also thanks @noxstar7 for your "Where One Fell" art, they look great and I used them for some reference too.)

Happy halloween @revasnaslan !! Here’s my gift to you for the @galraween event. 

Dads of marmora + halloween human traditions

Ulaz took a look at paper pumpkins and ghosts that hanged over the door on a string. It seems Keith and Thace had time to do some decorations.

He stepped inside and before he could even close the door behind him, Keith was already calling him from his room. “Papa?”

“I’m home.” Ulaz put down his bag.

“Wait there. I’m going to show you my halloween costume.”

This was the first time Keith was dressing up for Halloween and going Trick-or-Treating. He had been waiting all week for this. He decided to keep his costume a surprise from his Papa, so Ulaz has no idea what Keith’s outfit looks like.

Thace walked out from the kitchen to come greet Ulaz at the door. He pecked his lips and then gave him a kiss on the cheek. “Keith has been excited all day to show it to you.”

Working from home allowed for Thace to spend his days with Keith. When he had taken the child to shop for his first halloween costume, Keith didn't like any of the disguises.

So Thace took it upon himself to craft the costume that Keith wanted. It took a lot of tutorials and practice, but Thace was a quick learner and manage to get the hang of it.

Keith had made him promise to also keep the surprise, so he couldn't tell Ulaz anything.

“Ready?” Keith asked.

Keith came running out of his room and now stood in front of Ulaz and Thace, revealing his costume.

He wore a vest made of a material similar to fur, black shorts, brown boots, black gloves, a red headband and a belt that held a foam sword.

For a first time doing this, Thace really had made something amazing.

Ulaz kneeled down, running a hand over Keith's hair. “Who are you dressed up as, Keith?”

“I'm the barbarian Thunderstorm Darkness!” Keith proudly raised his foam sword and held it high. “The strongest warrior in the realm.”

Ulaz looked at Thace, raising an eyebrow. He wasn't the best at keeping up with every single one of the cartoons that Keith liked.

Thace bent down to adjust Keith’s headband that was a bit loose. “It’s a character Keith created.”

Keith was full of imagination. He liked to sit down and doodle all the stories that run through his head and then tell his dads all about them. A lot of the drawings decorated the fridge in the kitchen while others hanged in the walls of Keith’s room. The father’s day drawing Keith had sketched for them had its own frame and was in one of the shelves of Ulaz and Thace’s room.

“You certainly look threatening.” Ulaz said playfully.

Keith roared in an attempt to seem intimidating. It failed, he just looked adorable, and Ulaz couldn’t resist pulling him into a hug. Thace joined in as well and for a while they stayed like that, until Keith pushed them away and said they had to go Trick-or-Treating now before it was too late and there was no more candy.

The two watched as Keith ran back to his room to go get his pumpkin bucket.

Ulaz wrapped his arms around Thace. “Nice job on the costume.” He praised, nuzzling Thace's neck.

His mate purred and smiled. “All just to make our little Keith happy.”

Anyway, it’s finally posting day for us! I had to ask for an extension, since it’s busy busy all over here, but we’re all finished. I illustrated for the @voltronrarepairbang, for the amazingly talented @revasnaslan‘s fic Out of the Depths! We were also joined by the lovely and also very talented @meteorysh(better artist than I am, go check her out and reblog her pieces.) I like how the characters turned out, but backgrounds continue to give me all kinds of difficulty. Anyway, I’m just making excuses, no mater how hard the backgrounds were, this was still very fun to do! Please go check out the fic and the other artist, who is still better than me- you won’t regret it!

Summary:

It’s a special day on the calendar, and Ulaz and Thace get little Keith ready for the festival, with some light-hearted bantering along the way.

soft sendak/haxus cuddles for haxus hump day? :3

Sendak steps into his private quarters, and it doesn’t surprise him to see Haxus already waiting there, eyes on the door expectantly. He nods once in greeting as Haxus gets up, moving over to him. Slender, elegant hands reach out to start taking Sendak’s armor off piece by piece. Sendak knows that by ritual, he should keep his head held high, the mark of a proud commander. But there are times when he just has to watch Haxus work through the fastenings and plates of metal, methodically removing them and placing them aside. Sendak knows those hands are not just beautiful, they are deadly too. He is every bit the warrior Sendak is and could command just as much respect. Those hands are nothing to take for granted.

Haxus continues until all of the armor is placed, and Sendak stands in his tunic and breeches, posture relaxed now without the heavy burden. Haxus slides his hands along Sendak’s chest, moving up on his toes until he can brush his cheek against Sendak’s. “Welcome home, sir.” He leans back and gives a sweeping half bow to the bed. “Come lie with me before supper.”

Sendak nods and follows Haxus to lower himself onto the bed and offer himself to his mate’s touch. Haxus runs his claws through Sendak’s fur, coming out tangles, smoothing it over to relax him. He so does hate it when Sendak is tense, and he does everything he can to ease the tightness from him. Sendak deserves to rest.

Before he can linger too long, Sendak reaches up and wraps his hand around Haxus’s wrist, pulling him down. it’s so easy to move right into place at his side. Haxus knows he belongs there, and he tucks himself into to the crook of Sendak’s arm, his body lining up just so. A leg slides up over Sendak’s thigh, possessiveness in the gesture while he puts holds on just as tightly. As if they are in sync, they both shift to nuzzle their noses into soft fur beneath their ears, breathing in. They bump cheeks, exchange scents, and Haxus’s last gesture before they settle in for a doze is to nip at the mate mark on Sendak’s shoulder, hidden by his tunic. Haxus doesn’t need to see it to know exactly where to find it. His teeth have made a home there many times before and many times since sealing the mark. Sendak rumbles in approval, meeting that with a press of his thumb into Haxus’s, matching on the opposite shoulder. The moment is soft for a moment before Sendak lets out a jaw-cracking yawn.

“Rest, my mate,” Haxus urges in a low hum. “I will be here when you wake.”
