The Revelation part seven: Sardis, dead or alive?
The Revelation part seven: Sardis, dead or alive?
Jesus did so much more than die for my sins. If my understanding of the Gospel stops there, I am missing the point of why Jesus came. He didn’t give His life so I could fulfill my dreams, become a more moral person or live unaffectedly. The cross is a lightning rod of choice…a choice of living or dying…it cries out: ‘come die that you might live.’

I always try to plan and think about precisely what I want for the future, especially right now, what I want from whatever college I decide to transfer to. I plan the vision right down to what my friends will be like, what we do on the weekends, what kind of clothes I'll wear. And, while it's good to have goals and a clear vision for what you want, it's also toxic to plan it too carefully. The more you plan for things like the type of friends you want, the things you want to do on the weekends, etc, the more you set yourself up to be disappointed. When you shed away the expectations you have for life and the future, your life can be so much sweeter and happier because there is no way you can feel let down. It's important to have goals, yes. But the goals need to be somewhat flexible, especially in how they are achieved. The best thing to do is focus on learning more about yourself, embracing that person, loving that person no matter what, and trying each and every day to improve yourself and be better than you were yesterday. It's important to remember that not everything in life can be planned and often the best moments are surprises because there were no expectations.

Startrek revelation.
We now always watch Next Generation as a trade off for me wanting to watch Grey's Anatomy before hand. So this episode is called 'We'll Always Have Paris...'.
When I was away and I was getting upset because I knew that inevitable goodbyes were fast approaching, Laurence was all like "We'll always have London...". I Always assumed that this was a cheesy reference to like, Gone With The Wind or something.
However, this makes SO MUCH MORE SENSE.
