The Running Joke
Democrats never fail to amaze me.
Saying that the Republican Party is in disarray would be charitable (having a former President egg on an insurrection of the Capitol Building tends to do that, never mind governing as an ideologue) though Democrats are managing to ruin what should be a slam dunk, home run type of situation.
All Joe Biden needed to do is give the American people the $2000 stimulus that he and people like Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock promised – that won Georgia for Democrats, it’s worth mentioning – and it would have brought a least two or three years of serious good will.
But being Democrats, virtually no situation exists that they can’t snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Biden not only hedged on the $2000 payment he promised just a few months earlier, reducing it to $1400 and calling the $600 stimulus from the Trump Administration a “down payment” (as if he were working with Trump).
And Biden appears to be fumbling the response to coronavirus as well by trying to get schools to reopen despite millions of Americans not being vaccinated and if that weren’t bad enough – the virus is mutating.
Keep in mind that this is coming from the candidate who promised to “listen to the science,” which he clearly isn’t doing.
Democrats can’t win for losing. It would be a joke if it weren’t not only sad, but unnecessary.
