maybe a bit of an easy one, but: I'm gonna say their respective heights, lol. Quista is obviously WAY taller than Sera is or ever will be, and Sera is WAY shorter, so they'll affectionately tease. things like "must suck to have to hit your head on the door all the time" vs "must suck to not even be able to SEE the door ever"

4. How do they compare to each other's exes? Are they the same "type" or an upgrade/something different?
idk how much info we get on Sera's exes canonically, but I would assume that they were fellow Jennies, maybe? servants and general common folk that she came across? Quista already differs there in that she was a mercenary, and a qunari at that - p different from what the average Fereldan/Orlesian would think of as ordinary, imo. and based on guessing, I would assume Sera's usually gone for at least... eh, maybe the livelier type? chattier? which Quista typically isn't lol, she's a lot more introverted and nervous around people.
on Quista's end, I genuinely have no idea if she's dated anybody before Sera ngl sdjfgjs
6. Do they have pet names for each other? Do they like them?
Sera calls Quista "Inky," which she adores!! it's cute and it makes her smile. Quista's called Sera "my bee-loved" on a couple of occasions, which Sera might love even more than Quista does Inky.

idk if I can give a good answer, just because I still need to play Quista's game properly lol. I guess the biggest thing that comes to mind is that sometimes Quista can be a bit reckless w her Fade research? which makes Sera worry, and they've had to talk about it a few times before agreeing to understand that this is a passion for her that won't go away (Sera's lesson) / people care about you and don't want you to endanger yourself, just be careful (Quista's)
13. How do they express love for each other? Do they have compatible love languages?
Quista's an acts of service and gift giving type, I think! she's a good alchemist and good at weapon-making, so new bombs for Sera? done. fixing her bow? done. little things to spoil her and make her feel loved.
if I had to guess, I think I'd say Sera's a words of affirmation and quality time person? just letting her Inky know how precious she is, and getting as much time together as they can. they express their love differently, but I think they appreciate it equally - Sera likes being spoiled, and Quista likes that somebody wants to spend so much time with her. so they're compatible in that sense? yeah!
15. What habits or characteristics have they picked up from each other?
you've got me beat on what Sera would pick up, bc Quista still needs some fleshing out there, but I do know that Quista has more than likely picked up several of Sera's more colorful phrases, lol.

smol cute elf lady instantly into the buff qunari lady and her muscles. buff qunari lady instantly into this smol cute elf lady and her instantly cutting down a rancid nobleman. I like to think Cassandra, Solas, and Varric noticed but were too polite to say anything.

I might actually have a better answer for once lol, but I like to think that Quista joining Sera on her prank spree is the moment Sera knew that she caught feelings for her, because Quista was actually laughing and smiling without getting embarrassed afterwards.
Quista's trickier to pin down, but I know that Sera's passion for the little people and her love of life is what won her over in general.
I binge read through your Effie tag and I wanted to say that I simply adore Effie! She's such an interesting and well thought out character. Not to mention that you have such a way with words that I swear I could read about Effie for days on repeat. You're just incredible and I'm in awe of your writing skills. and lmao i didn’t mean to make the fic so long... it honestly. Just happened. 😭 It stopped being a cutesy mini fic and became a whole minor fix-it (for my heart). But yes!!! I’m currently in the outlining process for Makoto’s POV, and I really want it to better encapsulate Okujima. Akinari hits so hard cause it’s a basically ten ranks about a guy trying to come to terms with what his life means when faced with a terminal illness, Yukari is GREAT for both male and female protags and tbh she’s on this list because I love her and it’s cool to get more insight onto her relationship w her mother, Shinjiro’s social link BREAKS me like oh my gid what saves his life is reconnecting him with his found family aa, Saori was totally a closeted wlw and i will die on that hill, Aigis’s entire ARC hits me square in teh chest w emotion, Ken getting an older sibling figure who he can finally be a kid around is both sweet and heartbreaking and Mitsuru is just a cool older lesbian who doens’t know what a burger is good for her!

i honestly don’t know where the opening section of akira’s bus ride came from because i’m usually a dialogue-heavy writer, but for some reason the sort of contemplative mood of someone on a bus for long periods of time just looking out the window, and the pov of not really knowing what akira was thinking at that time, rly hit me so that’s what i wrote
true to the devil’s in the details i spent an ungodly amount of time editing and re-editing that particular segment to make sure that it had all the foreshadowing that i needed...... the majority of the editing after i’d written the ending already LOL
shuake week 2019 was good for me because i dont usually edit but i finished a lot of these fics before the due date so i was forced to reread them and edit them LOL
i have NO idea where i got the go-chan nickname KJSKSJK
i remember the dialogue section was a huge mess to write... i wrote little bits and pieces of quippy dialogue that i liked, i threw around bullet points of what everyone was concerned about (kirijo, shido, the other phantom thieves, the napkin), i wrote one-off lines and really struggled to put it into a coherent order..... there was a lot of stuff being juggled all at once and it felt like a puzzle trying to arrange them in the right order........ there was a lot of wasted material for that section alone that i had to throw away
once the first half of goro’s dialogue section was in order the part about akira’s future fantasy came really easily LOL but that section was actually a complete surprise to me..... i wrote the fic with the end reveal in mind (that the kirijo group wanted to recruit goro), but it was only after i started thinking through the logistics that shido’s organization would still be around, that goro might not think that he’d live very long, etc etc that i realized that i had to do something about that sense of hopelessness before he’d ever take kirijo up on that offer, so that’s where akira’s extremely horny fantasy came from skjskjsks
i dont know why there’s such an emphasis on the rituals and the deliberate care that akira puts into all the little actions he does every month to visit goro except i think i liked the idea that akira would put such formal care and dedication and attention to going out of his way to make sure he sees goro every month
