I’ve combined my three mlb au posts into one with some editing done to them.
I've been thinking about if I should write this au, draw it, or do some of both.
Sorry that this is a bit of a mess.
Okay, so this is a miraculous ladybug au. Now marinette’s parents died when she was younger, so she was put in her grandma’s care. Now we all know that Marinette's nona travels a lot so I imagine that even after she gets marinette she still continues traveling and takes marinette with her. So Marinette doesn’t really have any friends and she wasn't bullied by Chloe.
She’s multilingual and can speak French, Chinese, Italian, and english somewhat fluently. Since she’s constantly traveling I imagine she would be taught by her nona, so there won’t be too much of a language barrier at some of the places they travel to.
Marinette still wants to be a fashion designer.
She’s not as pushover and can be kinda of direct.
She doesn’t get the ladybug miraculous, because she joins the class after master fu gives the black cat and ladybug miraculous out.
So I imagine since she never stayed in the same place for very long she doesn’t really know how to make and retain a friendship. She also speaks more formally than other people because she isn’t used to using French as much and has a hard time with lingo.
Now since Adrien is also not the best at socializing and is rather dense, they have very awkward conversations, and until he finds out she likes fashion design they have a hard time holding a conversation.
Marinette makes gifts for her friends randomly.
So in this au Alya would probably get the ladybug au.
I imagine Master Fu at first just gave Adrien the black cat miraculous and only decided to give someone the ladybug miraculous after seeing that Adrien wasn’t doing too well on his own.
Fu gives Alya the ladybug miraculous after seeing Alya run after the akuma to film it.
Adrien still gets the black cat ring, but doesn’t have a crush on this ladybug.
I’m trying to think of a name for Alya.
Dame Bug, because Dame means lady in french
Rouge Bug, because Rouge means red in french
Coccinelle is french for ladybug/ladybird
Red Punaise, because Punaise is bug in french.
