A random Reverse AU thing
The Enforcer has never once been weak. That’s something she’ll insist to any APS member who ever catches her. If one ever catches her. No, The Enforcer wouldn’t really say anything in particular made Her decide the world needed to be destroyed. She was not hurt by anything enough that it really made Her decide then and there things were awful, The Enforcer simply loved power and playing God. If She was to be forced to give something so boring as a motive, she’d likely have to say Gary. The Enforcer does not care about Gary as a person, his weird issues with everyone around him and his obsessions with hurting others and his personality are not things The Enforcer cares about. All she has ever really cared about with regards to Gary, is that he worships Her above anything else in his life, and he’s been like that since the two of them were children, although years of neglect and brainwashing means he barely remembers that anymore. Gary has not called The Enforcer “Aurora” for years, and She’s very happy about that. Gary praised Her all the time, he’d do whatever She told him. But after a few years of their “friendship” She noticed something. He would praise Her even more if She was hurting a fellow student. Teachers even more. Eventually The Enforcer learnt that this was because they’d been irritating him, so he wanted them gone anyway, so having Her endorse their pain, encourage things he’d been told never to do, then tell him he was doing a great job for it? He loved it. And as time went on, She loved it too. The suffering of those around her was fun and exciting, and as time went on, with the reinforcement of being Gary’s wonderful vengeful Goddess. The Enforcer learned to crave chaos and misery as much as She craved apples. After forming Her person force The Enforcer chose to no longer make a habit of interacting unnecessarily with Gary, treating him just like the little children that became Her agents. If She misses his company She definitely doesn’t show it. But every so often, he’ll get a mission to kill someone from his beloved Goddess, and the person will be someone he used to know. And somehow, he knows his Goddess still cares about her loyal servant, and feels just a bit more insufferably better than everyone else than usual.
