Reverse Fandom annoys me so much because all these people are like ">:( Bluepoch is FAILING men because there's not enough male characters >:(" and it makes me want to start killing people.
You complain about shonen anime having few female characters who are often badly written or mistreated or wtv and people will fuckin hound you for shoving western views onto The Pure Japanese Media or some shit like that.
But just turn the tables around and people will be out here like "This is an OUTRAGE they are FAILING MEN because there isnt ENOUGH MEN in this, and actually this is FAILING BOTH GENDERS and this is SEXISM because there's more WOMEN in this then MEN." and its the most obnoxious shit ever and I fucking hate it here forever.
Can the Series of Dusks update come faster so I can write my Semmelweis meta post already?
I don’t tend to make a big fuss out of these things but I just- I really like Kakania and I got her on the first ten pull (50 pity saved up but still) so it makes me really happy to see her
MESMER JR MENTION!!!! (in the funniest way possible go Semmelweis clown on her-)
Semmelweis is a really interesting character to me to the point I spent this entire day trying to figure out what was up with her and why I like her so much. I think it's cause there's a fun bit of self-actualization through her vamperism and having to come to terms with her Mental Illness (through Vamperism!) I like her a lot I should write a full meta on her one day...
Hm yeah I'm going through all the dialogues and I don't think the problem is Just in how it didn't unite the two parallel plots well enough. I don't think it tied together E lucevan le stelle and Prisoner and the Cave well enough. Vienna, Aperion and Laplace feel too disconnected from each other so it feels more like three stories haphazardly stitched together than one cohesive one I think...
I still liked it it just- came off of E Lucevan Le Stelle so now I'm sad it isn't as good as that was.
I think....I think I find Vereinsamt to be worse than E lucevan le stelle overall?
Like, it's not bad, I really liked a lot of it, especially the beginning actually. But I don't think it had as strong of an emotional core as E lucevan le stelle (though- admittedly I wasn't as invested in Prisoner and the Cave so I think I'm unreliable here) and I don't think it united the two parallel plots well enough...which is strange since this is longer than the usual Reverse chapter.
Oh well, at least there's Nott Fanservice:
