I watched "project hail Mary) 'bout a week ago and. My entire fyp on Tumblr is just wholesome rocky and grace art and people talking about it-

I never cry at movies (especially the cinema) but PHM made me sob sad and happy tears for the entire last half of the movie :,) the line between comedy and gut wrenching tragedy is less than paper thin and I love it

Masterpeice Volo I drew a while back

I will forever refuse to draw his hat you can’t make me! But anyway I had recently gotten markers back when I first drew this and I wanted to test them by drawing best boy

[it’s these markers but I only have a 120 pack] turns out Burlington has great budget art supplies, I got brush tips and even a really good brand name pencil set, the markers blend well, however this sketchbook has very thin paper so they bleed HEAPS that’s mostly my own user error though, but yeah if you don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on the proper stuff try Burlington, you actually might find something.

OKAY I finished watching a playthrough of poppy ch4 and I need talk/vent about it because omfg . spoilers under the cut ofc

I am so upset and salty at how little of yarnaby we got and about the doctor's whole sequence. especially sawyer, he's been made such an important part of the lore and on the trailers just looked so cool and seemed like he'd be crucial this chapter and then??? i'm so disappointed T__T honestly, his sequence was so underwhelming, i didn't feel like it had much support in the flow of the story, the maze was ehhh the baba part was even worse imo, and then just killing him ?? for what??? one of your main villains??? like they didn't even, i don't know, left a blink of the eye on one of the hallways monitors as you leave, or better yet, don't kill the guy, freeze him, put him to sleep, electrocute him?? anything!?!? have yarnaby sacrifce himself for sawyer!!!! i'm so upset, and it's not that i want mob to do what I think they should but the story just felt so disjointed! you don't put this much lore importance into a character to kill him in one move ?!!?! like i'm sorry i can't be alone in this

Doey's story was done great though, really heartbreaking and awful but also cool and heart-warming when he was at his best. Clearly the focus went into Doey and that turned out great! but somehow that annoys me even more, that it was seemingly at the cost of other characters. I mean in chp3 everything felt more cohesive and each character was strong in its story I feel like so i guess a lot of me being upset comes from knowing that mob can do better idk

the final sequence had a lot of work put in too, the Ollie reveal was done right. great timing, the sound design too was so peak and the dialogues as well, I'm very impressed with that and ofc huggy coming back is hype, even though I like yarnaby more I get why you'd bring back your statement character for probably the final chapter to come

overall idk what to think about chapter 4 exactly, it didn't sweep me off my feet! that's for sure ;-; I also wished we would've gotten more of the nightmare critters the way we got for the smiling ones, like at leasts some cut outs!! because with how this chapter is I don't feel like it matters what critters are chasing you, it could've been all smiling critters for all i know and the story seemingly would've been the same which sucks imo

but hey I'll still try to polish the idea I have for my own critter because the concept is simply too cool

should I listen to TMA now that I have the time? I rarely have free time but it’s been on my list forever and I rly want to join the fandom. plus my friend has recommended it to me like 3 times lol

I ordered one of those MTG deck boxes from @dungeonmastersconsortium and I swear I'll add a picture later, but I just want to gush about the little details real quick- the box is so clean looking and the blue mana symbol came out amazing! Getting a customized box for a deck is almost enough to tempt me into MTG again- but even without that my gf will love it (I just know she's been working on a mono-blue deck so this was a perfect opportunity).

Definitely recommend- and the box is spacious enough to hold little trinkets or the like!

Was totally not expecting it but common side effects might be my new favourite show. Like, ever.

It somehow strikes this silly goofball tone whilst also having this riveting sense of drama. The way the show opens up as a black-and-white confrontation but winds up subverting those expectations had me floored.

I'm incredibly happy about the fact that season 2 is already greenlit.

Since I got into Haunted Hotel, I’ve been watching more Netflix animated shows!

Reagan Ridley might be up in my favorite character list I’m in love

Spoilers below

One thing I really liked was that Reagan and Brett stayed completely platonic the whole run through. Not nearly enough of man and woman being friends without any romantic undertones representation in media. Another thing I liked is that she didn’t give up her job to be with Ron. It was a nice, tragic little play on the trope while keeping the central dynamic in loop.

I really wish Inside Job wasn’t canceled. Hopefully Haunted Hotel won’t be hit with the same stupid corporate cancelation beam..
