Synopsis: you had one problem with being in katseye. the second word of three that was commonly used to describe you guys, ‘girl’ was the word. it had always left you hating life, maybe it’s time you figured out why.

all the kats are back and everything should be back to normal, but with more normal, but then manon notices you're more secluded than normal.

anyways the revy thought.

i specifically wrote him in such a way that he and sophia are the same side of two different coins.

they're so much a like in history that it would actually be scary. they're both from rich & fairly famous families that. they're both pushed to do their best. people look to them both for leadership. they should in all universes understand each other, just not this one.

instead revy got parents that just needed a kid to check something off the 'successful person' list. he got ones who fired the first person who actually cared about him because she was 'promoting mediocrity'. he got parents who'd rather a depressed child than an embarrassment who does nothing with their lives (aka not becoming a doctor or lawyer). he was there to add fluff to their 'our lives are great' conversations, he was there so that they'd never lose the 'look at my kid' competition.

then he ran away for da, things shifted. people didn't really know that he was who he was, he could just be revy. then manon asked him if he was the same kruger that she'd seen on some of the billboards when she was in france.

it crumbled from there, everyone treated him differently. it wasn't their faults obviously but he felt the shift.

sophia's change had been the worst, he'd thought she'd treat him normally because they were both in similar situation, but she took his shyness and uncertainty as professionalism and suddenly, without them all realizing, revy was forced back into the box that he'd been trying to escape his entire life.

Just got a thought of revy before coming out to all the kats (he maybe just told Megan he was considering he may be trans) and they were getting ready to go out to eat and since his style is very masc, I can imagine Dani telling him omg someone looks handsome today

after everything is revealed to the kats, dani takes special care in making sure that revy knows he's loved.

it lowkey a less severe version of @mayzini 's tmiy because she's always wanted a little sibling and now ones fallen into her lap and sure he isn't perfect but neither is she. she can give him the love he so desperately needs and wants.

she also does feel bad for how she treated him in da, bc wdym he was just a kid trying to survive in a world that didn't abide to the rules he was taught.

back on task tho, yes she makes sure to complement him, however, she always makes sure it's a genuine complement. "this style suits you" "this frames your shoulders really well" "you look handsome" just good complements, they always stick with him but one really sticks with him.

he'd come home from skating and it was his testosterone day and dani was sitting on the couch in their living room and she looks over her shoulder. her eyes softened and she just tells him that he "looks happy" and for once he doesn't roll his eyes, bc for once the person saying it are seeing what he's actually feeling. it sticks with him because it's the first time he feels like his life is heading in the right direction

ive been thinking about revy lately, so im glad i can ask, what was revy like in da and what did his relationship with manon look like? the relationship between revy and manon is so special to me, i can’t explain it 😭

okay so,

da!revy was lowkey a dick...

he'd never actually had someone care about him before, on a physical level but also mental. he'd run away from his home in seattle and for the majority of da, his parents don't reach out, it's only once his face is litterally everywhere with the survival show that his parents reach out. not to ask why he'd left, or why he hadn't told him. but rather the simple text of "don't doubly embarrass the family by failing some music competition." because now all of their peers are like "you're kids in this huge competition to be in a girl group.

he's still in the mentality that everything he does needs to be perfect. he's a gymnast and he's got naturally decent vocals, nothing like lara or sophia but with some fine tuning it can definitely work.

going off of his mentality, he thrives in the competition part of da because that's how he was taught to see the world. thus he was always in a fight or flight mode, and revy wouldn't let himself flight the way he had as a kid because da was supposed to be different.

bc he was constantly in fight mode, he was more stand off ish, he didn't talk to people, and when he did it was professional, no warmth to it. it didn't lead to good friendships like at all. actually he lowkey hated the megan, emily, adela, sophia ect group because despite the effort he saw them put in, in his mind they didn't care as much and less was riding on them actually getting into the group.

you might be wondering how emily became part of his group of approved ppl and that's smth for later.

as for his relationship with manon, that's his mom, his dad, his idol, his light at the end of the light. so by technically manon was in da longer, but revy was in la longer by like two days. but because manon and revy both got there so close to each other, they gravitated to each other. at the begining they sat in silence because revy wouldn't speak, but then he saw a photo of her paintings and he got really excited about it. it was the first moment that they really bounded.

he helped her with her dancing and she helped him with his stage presence because he'd been taught from a young age that he had to be invisible. it was actually manon's doing that everyone thinks he's from france (he's not). he spoke france french and she went 'you're european' and he didn't correct her. the only person he'd hug outside of yoonchae is manon.

going off that, you know that clip of finalist katseye hugging the girls who didn't make it in and manon doesn't have anyone to hug. revy hugged her, tightly and it's like the only time the kats or eyekons have seen him hug anyone because yoonchae is just as touch averse as he is.

she's basically super special to him and if he had to choose only two kats, manon would be one the list.

Could we get an example of how revy and the girls would be dressed for a performance after revy came out to everyone?

ok so throughout the fic and his transition the girls styling doesn’t particularly change, they get given less skintight stuff so that he doesn’t look super out of place but for the most part they remain the same.

revy’s style however is a completely different conversation. so for revy he starts out with the same styling as the rest of the girls maybe a little bit more masculine but nothing crazy.

then he comes out to the company and they put him in much more masculine clothing that’s lowkey really baggy in comparison to what he was wearing before, so like baggy jeans and a tank top or smth idk

finally once he’s gotten into a spot where he feels comfortable he’s giving more revealing clothing to match the girls, so like it’s just a more masculinized version of smth the girls are wearing.

he’s a montreal based canadian trans musician who most recent album is a duet with pre t him and i think both voiced are revy’s, so like pre t bells voice is revy’s pre t voice and on t voice is revy’s as well if that makes any sense
