I cannot find the words to express what I'm trying to say but the line "It's the fucking spouse!" is such a good line and I will try to form words around why

1) it communicates how much of a threat Mark is to this delicate operation and him being anywhere near the Cold Harbor room is actually somewhat terrifying to these people

2) it makes Mark sound unstoppable, like he is a Being and not just some guy desperate to get his wife back

3) it makes you think about other instances where they talked about him as just "the spouse"

4) he's so goddamn annoying to them

5) they know who the fuck he is

So much of this is a credit to Sandra's delivery, too. It so clearly says all of this and more in her inflection and physicality and it's such a juicy line! It literally sounds like an intro - it's a line where in another show in another world we could've not seen Mark the whole time but the second we heard, "It's the fucking spouse," we, the audience, would know exactly what time it was
