Bonus Overworld Interactions (5D's Tier 2) - Tag Force Special Re-Translation Update! (Project Announcement Post)

As a bonus to my recent 5D's update for the re-translation, I thought I'd also show off some bonus unused dialogue that I also translated. Likely left in from TF6, several of the 5D's Tier 2 cast have full sets of dialogue as your Partner (entering a Player or Partner duel, winning/losing/drawing either, entering a Tag Duel together, and winning/losing/drawing), and after figuring out some debugging tricks to change the character ID the game was working with in a few spots, I was able to get them displayed, hehe. We'll see if we ever eventually figure out how to add them as Partners for these to be seen more regularly, but for now...

Started rewatching 5Ds and I just adore how Yugioh plays with gender presentation in its character designs like look at these mother fuckers

Jack has dangly ear rings and a choker, Yeager wears fucking lipstick and Rally is wearing a full on dress. And like everyone in the Yugioh universe seems to be wearing some kind of eye liner.

It's just so surprising coming from a franchise like Yugioh. Especially in the early 2000s. They were so forward-thinking. Real pioneers of gender.

Rex Godwin: "Do you think this riot will win freedom for all your kind? By tomorrow--"

Divine: "BY TOMORROW, IT WILL BE TOO LATE! What if a tiny, mindless insect like the emperor moth can communicate with another over a distance of eighty miles?

Rex Godwin: "An emperor Psychic might do slightly better?

Divine: "Slightly?! What you have seen here today, Psychic Duelists on the five continents will be imitating tomorrow!"

Rex Godwin: "With knives and cards against guns?! With kerosene cans and Duel Disks against flamethrowers?!

Divine: "Where there is fire, there is smoke. And in that smoke, from this day forward, my people will crouch, and conspire, and plot, and plan for the inevitable day of man's downfall, the day when he finally and self-destructively turns his weapons againt his own kind. The day of the writing in the sky, when your cities lie buried under radioactive rubble! When the sea is a dead sea, and the land is a wasteland, out of which I will lead my people from their captivity! And we will build our own cities, in which there will be no place for weaklings, except to serve our ends! And we shall found our own armies, our own religion, our own dynasty! Some of my inspiration behind how I roleplay Divine and his backstory mostly came from "The Planet of the Apes", and this part was from Caesar's speech from "Conquest for the Planet of the Apes", which heavily inspired my version of Divine (along with a few other characters from the series!) Whta did you guys think? Has Divine finally gone full psychopath?//

ygo5dsmonth/Week 2024 Day 2 - The New Classic

When it comes to clothes the Dark Signer's robes are my favorites. I love the matching cloaks (with the different outfits for each one underneath) and that the colors are aligning with their Earthbound Gods. They even gave out cloaks to their shadow drones, they're very committed to that style

And I could never leave out Godwin and his stupid, fancy bird shirt

I love thos blues. And the collar

As for more normal, everyday clothes, I think some outfits from the games look really good, like Misaki's here, it got just the right amount of bling

The coolest looking D-Wheel is Giganto L...
