Rex the Teenage Pop-Star 18y/o🎸✨
De cerca/ Close up
Can't figure out Rex's part so I skipped ahead!
He had four cameras pulled up on his phone's app. The banister area, the basement, the kitchen, and the upstairs hallway. Watching the house, allowing his boys some space.
Lawrence watched through the phone screen. Ellington trapped Rex against the wall. Knees encasing Rex's. Rex didn't fight back surprisingly.
His boys now did this often, it unsettled him. It was too close for comfort. They'd been on one another's nerves for as long as he could remember for these weeks.
He managed to keep himself in bed. Allowing them the space to be kids. They did need to get a feel for the house without him around...
Movement on his cameras caught his eyes. Was a fight about to break out? Was Ellington about to tease Rex with an array of jokes like they're usual dynamic or was that gone?
He wished he knew, but neither boy was saying anything. Rex looked at Ellington. Who in turn, had him against the wall. He wasn't looking at him anymore.
Both glancing at their sibling. Marshall. Who was walking up the stairs with a pottery bowl he'd made years ago. It held all his crayons. Some broken, some not. A lot of them had no paper on them.
Nathan's doing no doubt.
Lawrence spared a glance at the sleeping boy in the basement. His temper had caused a rift between Ellington and Rex. Though he wasn't exactly sure what was said. Neither of them had told him.
Rex didn't speak much. Mainly gesturing and writing. Still too scared or confused. Lawrence liked to think confused. But he secretly figured it was the fear. Rex was well educated plus he never struggled with his words like Ellington or Nathan.
His vocabulary on paper was beyond Lawrence's even...maybe his throat was hurting him? He was always prone to tonsilitis.
Maybe he should talk to him about a tonsillectomy.
Pulled from his thoughts he noticed Marshall politely walked by murmuring and "excuse me." Lawrence could swear his heart swelled with affection.
His eyes warily memorized Ellington and Rex before exiting his app. All his boys were in a stable position, safe, and not fighting. Deciding he'd hear if they started fighting, he plugged his phone up. The screen making a silly pattern signifying it was now charging.
Laying back he smiled into his lover's empty spot. Allowing his mind to drift.
Charlotte was gone today for a photoshoot. A big one too. With some new trendy brand. Something about her favorite sports wear. She'd been sporting the bra and legging sets in all the patterns they offered for a while.
Soon enough, peace didn't last long. A door opened quietly but the creek of the sweaty palm against the knob wasn't. mistaken.
"Yes?" The blonde man looks down and to the right. Surprised by what he found. Rex. The brown-haired boy stared back.
"What is it baby? Do you need some medicine?" Lawrence coos softly laying his head on a pillow. Watching his second favorite. Who in return blushes looking away from him momentarily.
"I'll take that as a yes. Go get your medicine for me. I'll help you take it before naptime." He smiles gently before sitting up again.
Watching his boy shuffle to the bathroom, he decides to stretch. Moving his shoulders up and back.
Now settled on the bed in front of him, Rex loosely grips the throat spray. Undoing the cap, presenting it to him. Lawrence presses a kiss to the other male's hair.
"Open up." He instructs, watching Rex obey. "Good. We'll do two spritzes this time since your about to go to bed." He pats Rex's hand comfortingly as he sprays the first spray. Chuckling when Rex's face scrunches up.
"Second one then it's bedtime. You can lay here." He smiles to himself watching Rex's reaction to the second spray.
I love their dynamics so much omg!! I also love Rex a lot XD

Rex Orange County 11/3/19 SWX, BRISTOL
REX OC
One of my absolute favorite artists.
Rex Orange County was an artist that’s originally been producing music on SoundCloud and Spotify until he got his big break with another musician, Tyler The Creator. They created music together and debuted the album “Flower Boy” by Tyler The Creator.
I’ve been listening to Rex Orange County before Flower Boy was released. I discovered his song “UNO” in a Netflix Original titled “Dear White People”. I was watching an episode of it on my TV until his song came on during a scene, and that’s when I dropped everything to research who this guy is, because immediately once the song played, I had to figure out who it was or else it was going to bother me that I was going to let such a good artist slip out of my grasp. Eventually, after almost forty-five minutes of just trying to figure out who it is, I finally found the song, and I was not disappointed. In fact, I was a little too addicted to his music once I found all of his songs on SoundCloud.
His music is very alternative/indie. And I dig it. I wasn’t into indie too much before I discovered Rex, but ever since I discovered him, he changed my whole perspective and opinion on indie music.
As usual, I’m gonna dive into it and name my top three favorite songs written by this small bean. Again, there are a lot more songs that I enjoy that’s created by Rex, but I have to dumb it down to my top three or else your finger’s gonna hurt from scrolling so much.
1) UNO
A classic. The first song I discovered from him.
This song’s about all the thoughts that people keep in their head. Insecurity, anxiety, you name it… this song has it all.
Not that it’s a bad thing, though. It’s actually the opposite. It’s relatable, it’s real, and we can’t forget the catchy tune that tags along with the song. Not only is he brutally honest about how he feels, he attracted in audience (such as me) who’s facing the exact same thing he is. It’s breathtaking how relatable the song is to most people.
Now this song doesn’t really get a lot of recognition. That’s what I think, at least. Even though it was featured on a TV show, this song isn’t the most popular. But it definitely deserves way more recognition than it gets.
2) Best Friend
This song’s about wanting that certain someone. Being with that someone who makes your heart melt. But with reality in the way, sometimes it doesn’t always work out. Once reality intervenes, it’s too late. Eventually people move on. They won’t stay sulking and they will most likely find someone new, but…
He mentions in his song that she’s still his “favorite girl”. And he also mentions that “you’re gonna wanna be my best friend”.
Maybe there’s space for a second chance?
Although time has passed, and it seems like he’s moved on because he’s said he’s happy where he is now, deep inside, you won’t know he’s lying and that he wants things to be like the way it was before.
And that’s reality, you know? Sometimes you’re gonna have to fake it until you make it. But he still has hope for a second chance with “her” and that things can go the way that he wants it, once more.
3) Edition
This one was more of a recent release, back in September.
This song’s more of a down in the dumps one. It’s pretty sad, and when I heard it, I was feeling such empathy for Rex.
Rex points out all of the flaws in a relationship. How plans fall through, how the volume raises when couples argue, how they mess up badly sometimes…. but that’s the reality of it. His intentions are almost always good and his intentions are just to help her, not to hurt her.
Rex Orange County is always gonna be an artist that’s gonna be in my playlist. He’s always gonna be an artist that I’m never gonna forget. I probably won’t stop listening to him when I’m in college or even when I’m an adult. His music is so astonishing to me, and with music that astonishing, it’s almost harder to forget his music than it is to remember it.
Rossalyne Mcfist (Rex) Introduction!!
(an OC crossover of Randy cunningham 9th grade ninja & American dragon jake long & Xiaolin Showdown)
English
OC's name/alias, species & occupation: Rossalyne Macfist (Prefers the nickname Rex) human, daughter of Terry Macfist and niece of Macfist. 9th grade student at Norrisville High School
Appearance: With fine features, short red hair, slim, and athletic build. Her relaxed posture makes her appear boastful and proud. Her bored expression is often mistaken for irritation, which leads to misunderstandings.
Age, gender/pronouns, sexuality: 15 years old, female, she/her, bisexual and demisexual
Personality: Serious but relaxed. She won't start a conversation with others on her own. She'll become defensive at the slightest offense. She's suspicious of everyone and everything. She cares about others (even if she denies it) but doesn't get more involved than necessary. If you manage to gain her trust, she'll loosen up and start to act more silly and cheerful. She's a girl of few words but of good manners (the complete opposite of Bash).
Likes and dislikes (incluiding hobbies and similar): She likes music, fashion, guitars (she has a whole collection), extreme sports, graffiti, marathons, anything related to magical creatures, VR battle royale games, spicy foods and snacks, teasing Bash, and skateboarding. She hates: being told what to do, being taken for a fool, Bash's pranks, squeaky sounds, having her space invaded, physical contact lasting longer than 0.0002 seconds without her consent, being yelled at by Macfist, and bland or overly sweet flavors.
Notable relationships: Randy, Howard, Viceroy (she considers him more family than Hannibal) and a group of three friends that she left in New York that she calls from time to time * wink wink *
Basic lore/backstory: After her high school was destroyed by mysterious causes and her mother decided she should be in a calmer environment outside the city, she was sent to attend high school in Norrisville with her uncle Hannibal Macfist. What she believed would be the worst years of her life led her to discover dark forces, magic, mythical beings, and to form a friendship with a pair of teenagers and an 800-year-old ninja to save the world from dark forces. At the same time, she discovers hidden secrets and a new destiny waiting for her. Huh…? These four years won't be so boring after all, huh?
