Anakin heard the words, he and Rex were out scouting alone. He turned towards Rex to late when there was a sharp pain in his side as a blade entered him. A pained gasp left him and he stumbled away from him. “R-Rex?” He looked at him with wide eyes.

Rex rubbed the back of his head for a few moments, “It’s not exactly what I did, but something I didn’t do. Back when Slick turned on us, I had the chance to get rid of him, but instead, we sent him to a prison.”

A moment passed and then another before he grunted, “I had a feeling something was wrong and I found out he was gone — not executed or anything, but as if someone had released him. Even in the records, I haven’t found anything; one moment he was there the next, it was as if a Force User took him.”

Ahsoka listened her arms crossed and eye marking raised “I remember...” she replied and let him continue “A... you think a Jedi took him?” she asked tilting her head. “Was he even checked into the prison...?”

Rex wasn’t expecting to see Ahsoka, it wasn’t that he had expected to see her after her Trial --- he had been one to try to capture her, but there was something off about everything he was doing. The Empire was formed, he had sided with it, and he wasn't going to let someone from his past disrupt that simple power he had now.

“I thought you died in Order sixty six, Tano.”

As much as he didn’t want to admit it, he absolutely ENJOYED spending time around Wyndel’s daughter even though he still couldn’t find out how it would have happened. In his mind, he couldn’t see him around anyone longer than a few moments, but it seemed that his assumptions about the Sith had changed.

Rex kept his arms behind his back, he didn’t really like having to speak with anyone associated with his General, but things had gotten slightly better in the long run. Wyndel hadn’t been giving him trouble and Slick was actually being half-way decent to him, but he still needed to get away from his Brothers. They, seemed to have a fanatic devotion to the General while Rex did not, and simply wanted to break away from everything.

Luckily, Tari was one of the few people he could get along with --- even if deep down, he knew that spending time around her would be a death sentence, “I would have thought that you would have been with the General.”
