Fixed his eye so now he has his cybernetics. Left is pre-Archangel and right is post-Archangel. I still feel dumb for forgetting his eye in the first place but now I kinda think I like the pre-Archangel version better anyway *shrug*

Ruck or Rex in one of those sexist female superhero poses. Or anyone actually. You know the ones with black widow?? Ugh I'm tired and lame
I’m assuming you mean the poses with their chests and booties popped out like so? If not…woops.

My commissions | Buy me a coffee?
So a while back, I commissioned @lonicera-caprifolium to draw my best boy Rexis. I absolutely adore seeing him in their style and I regret not posting this sooner but I was kind of afraid of coming off as irresponsible for making the purchase when I should be hoarding all my money. More than worth it though!
This is the second time I’ve gotten a commission from them and honestly they’re fantastic and all their art is 10/10. Highly recommend commissioning them yourselves if you have the chance :)
Vine/OC game
Pick 3 (or more if you want) of your OCs and find at least one Vine that describes each of them, or pick 1 OC and find a minimum of 3 Vines that describe them. Then tag the next unfortunate victims of the game.
(I’m bored af and this seems fun for the moment so I’m making it a thing don’t judge me)
Faelon - Club Jam
Rexis - Surfer Dude - Drunk Cookie Monster - The Cheese of Truth 2
Ivos - The Cheese of Truth
@isharaytaoshay @yes-this-is-sam @bronzeagelove idk my dudes XD
So, I’ve been thinking about the premise of that one set of asks I made (yes, the “If your OC was a canon squadmate” one), and now I’m having feelings about my Turian boy.
For any of you who haven’t heard me mention Rexis before (which is likely all of you that don’t follow me on masseffectoc), here’s the rundown.
He was born on the Citadel and lived there until the age of 4 when he and his 2 year old sister were kidnapped by their own father and moved to Omega where they ended up being raised by a young Asari while their father worked and drank and their step-mother did...whatever she did (they don’t even know what all she did with her time okay). He joined up with the Blue Suns at the age of 16 to help support his broken family, and despite having spent many years with them and being rather effective as a merc, he never moved up in rank and never became much otherwise. His younger sister was quite successful on the other hand and ended up running her own mercenary company, the captain of her own ship. After 6 years off station with very little contact, they managed to arrange a visit with each other and her whole company. With money tight as it was and his father locked in their apartment during the plague lockdown, Rexis signed on as a freelancer in the endeavor to kill Archangel in the hope the extra pay would be enough to cover the extra expenses.
Originally, Rex was meant to be killed by Archangel. Now, thanks to a friend, Rex had an AU (it’s my canon now) where he lived but lost his left eye entirely, needing it replaced with a cybernetic implant, and he’s completely blind on his right. He also has PTSD that’s triggered by loud noises, most particularly the sound of gunshots. Thanks to this, he is no longer too useful to the Suns, and they’d have killed him had they not cut his already meager pay and found use for him carrying their crates and doing other mundane tasks nobody else wanted to do. After the apartments were reopened, his father had died of the plague, his sister believed him dead (and was impossible to get a hold of), and his inability to keep up financially almost cost him his home. An Asari “acquaintance” of his from prior expressed concern and eventually managed to help land him a job modelling for Fornax on occasion to make up the difference and then some.
(Rest of the post is under the cut because LONG)
First Impressions
He was so caught up in his own amusement with the surprise on her face he didn’t really think to move until she was out of the bathroom and out of sight. It was kind of cute in its own way. Not that the look was entirely new to him. Nobody seemed to expect that kind of courtesy on this rathole station. Especially not from the locals.
Nobody ever expects the Rex-quisition.
The moment she was out of his sight, he delayed merely a moment, still strangely caught up in that look of hers, then followed behind. “Drag me out to the other side of the station and the walk is still worth it.” He looked toward one of the places he’d tossed his own clothes, finding himself feeling strangely shy but not letting it on in his tone so much as on his face. “Not that I think you need an escort back. You look like you can handle yourself. But why risk it when half the station sees seven feet of Turian coming and think ‘Shit.’” Voice cracking at that last bit, his gaze found its way back to her as he took a few steps to collect his pants off the floor, a near devious glint in his eye hinting at some hidden context. “It’s really not a problem.”
Sam leaned against the back of the couch for balance as she slipped into her own pants, far more interested in watching him than in paying attention to what she was doing. Bright eyes wandered down the lines of his plating with a casual tilt of her head, “True enough. You’re quite a bit larger than many Turians I’ve run into.” The cheeky grin she shot him was as shameless as her double entendre had been.
Finally sighing, she reached for the rest of her clothes to put them on, “Alright, if I keep delaying I’m going to talk myself into finding out what staying the night would be like. I’m ready to go whenever you are.” After a moment she seemed to lose focus, staring at the door and patting her pockets before shaking her head with a faint grin. “Not that I think you’d mind me staying that long. You seemed to have a decent time at the very least.”
First Impressions
There was nothing to be given but a confused blink. She was right about the station’s sanitation, especially after the plague. Hell, they were still cleaning that mess up. If he’d lived too much further down they’d have been surrounded by piles of bodies waiting to be disposed of. A mood killer if there ever was one. But his confusion lie in the headbutt. The kiss was sweet but…he wasn’t a Krogan? Or was he? Was he still drunk or were these rational questions?
“No C-Sec on Omega.” He shot her what was almost a wry smile. “And I’m just as illegal in C-Space as whatever you’ve got.” He was only half joking. Not to mention he still didn’t know what this weapon of hers was. Not that it mattered. He couldn’t think of anything that could possibly be more illegal in lawful space than things he’d seen on Omega in all twenty-four years he’d lived there. He’d seen it all, or so he thought, and none of it was any more or less frowned upon than his very existence. Joining a gang and evading the Hierarchy’s mandatory service didn’t look too great when being stared in the face by the law. So whatever it was she had, Omega sure didn’t give a damn and he was in no position to go crying about it to anyone who did even if he had any desire to.
There was a brief hesitation and an almost nervous smile before she shook her head. Down, Sam, that’s too fast. Might be a friend but it’d only been one day. Give it a few months before you go telling a stranger about OPI. Something about this kid made her trust him but that wasn’t a safe thing. Not yet. So instead she leaned over to shut the water off finally and leaned back against the shower wall. “As much as I want to hang around, I should probably get back to the hotel before my brain clues me in on just how sore I am. I wouldn’t put it past the jerks on the street to give me grief if they see me limping.” Amusement lit up her eyes again as a smug little smirk twisted one corner of her mouth. “Like I said, you don’t have to check up on me... but if you want to stop by I could give you the address. I would not mind seeing you again for a second.” For an instant her look turned flirtatious again before she regained control of her expression. As much fun as it sounded, she had a feeling she’d need a small recovery period first. It’d been a while since she’d played quite so hard.
First Impressions
Rexis’ grin only widened more when she reached up to poke his nose. “Ah, so you’re special and successful.” He was already laughing before his hand even started drifting from her hip to grab her butt. “And you have a great ass. How’d you even get on Omega without attracting the paparazzi?” Of course he had to flirt just a little bit more with her. Absolutely shameless. And in all honesty, he was kind of baffled that she did manage to get on the station without being hounded by the gangs or drunkards or whoever else. Not to say he was too much better than any of those options - hell, he fell into two of those categories - but at least he had half a mind not to try shit. That was more self control than a lot of the rest of the station had. He decidedly would have to keep an eye on her while he could. Too many people would want to take advantage of her all roughed up like she was, and he knew how the Suns liked to operate. If she came into their purview, they’d almost certainly harass her. Or worse.
“You’re going to give me a hell of an ego and some of my employees already can’t stand me.” She leaned back into his grip with a slight wiggle of her hips, a smug twist to the corner of her lips. The water stung slightly in some of the cuts on her skin but it was barely enough to get her attention. “As for how I got into Omega without attention, as great as my business is no one is very excited to see a mechanic unless they have a busted something-or-other. In the event a competitor or something does take an interest in when I’m on station, I have a secret weapon that nobody on Omega would see coming.” Idly she ran a hand through her hair, leaving it spikey. “I’m not too worried about getting ambushed for an interview or anything else.”
