✏️ My sole entry for @solodoodless Rexsoka✦tober, but it took me a month to finish so… 🥲🫣
I love canon divergent AUs, and what is better than a little legends mash-ups? So for the event, I made Ahsoka and Rex in Shaak Ti and Galen ”Starkiller” Marek’s costumes from Felucia used in the videgame Force Unleashed II… and it comes in the shape of a fake vintage romance novel cover, because, why not? 💕
I’m satisfied with everything except Ahsoka’s poor, poor boobs which I tried to airbrush like 20 times to look soft and pillowy, but yeah, rendering is hard 🥲
I did make an accompanying fanfic for this, but I write at the pace of a snail so it’ll take some more time before it’s finished.
Anyway, thank you Solo, for putting the event together, and big hugs to all fellow Rexsoka fans for all the amazing content created during this. It really brightened up an otherwise rather gray month 😍

Ahsoka saw him riding up before she heard him calling her name. Back again, with another tempting ask to go riding with him no doubt.
She had work to do and he knew it. But how many times could she really say no to him?
As Rex, rode up, Ahsoka turned away because the moment he called out her name, she couldn’t help the smirk that formed on her lips. He’d be insufferable. If he saw that he’d get her up on the horse in no time. And she really couldn’t be slacking.
“You been at it all day,” Rex said, stopping his horse and looking down at her. “Surely you could use a break.”
Ahsoka took a deep breath, setting her shovel firmly in the ground.
She turned around, face settled into more of a grimace than a smirk.
“Rex, you know as well as I do, I can’t be taking breaks left and right.” She put a hand on her hip. “I get paid for this, you know.”
Rex chuckled as he hopped down from horse. “I know, but we can take a short ride, and not even come in sight of the house. No one will even know.”
He extended his hand.
Ahsoka just crossed her arms. “We’ve been through this each day this week: you get to ride around and-“ look pretty “-do as you please. I’ve got to keep hard at work so you can do that. That’s the basics.”
He didn’t drop his hand. “But you do want to come riding, don’t you?”
Ahsoka pursed her lips and looked away.
“With me?” he said in almost a whisper.
This earned him the little smile he was after, and how could she protest?
“Don’t you think maybe you deserve to take a ride around and look pretty every now and then?”
Her brows shot up and she stared at him, eyes wide.
He just laughed. “Come on, don’t kid yourself, Soka. We all know you stare sometimes. Now come on up, and take a ride with me!”
And how could she protest?
Giddy with excitement, Ahsoka allowed Rex to help her onto the horse. Rex settled on it behind her, wrapping his arms around her, holding her quite close.
“Comfortable?” he whispered to her.
Ahsoka nodded, feeling stupid as she smiled so broadly, but she couldn’t help it. Her heart was fluttering and her stomach was turning flips. She bit her lip, trying to suppress it, but to no avail. Her smile was here to stay.
She twisted her head around and placed a kiss on Rex’s cheek. “Just one quick ride?” she whispered to him.
“Just one quick ride,” he whispered right in her ear.
A giggle escaped her and Rex motioned for the horse to start moving again as he held Ahoska pressed against him. One quick ride maybe, but certainly worth a million.
