Ben is coming back from whatever astral plane he’s in now to return to her. That’s my head canon.

I think a better ending would be Rey searching the galaxy for him. It would have made a nice juxtaposition with her former state of waiting for family. IF they wanted to do the “Kylo’s dead thing”

He should have been ALIVE but I digress.....

I remember the good old days when Kylo Ren wore this big ass mask concealing his identity but then when the pretty scavenger called him a creature HE FLUNG THAT SHIT OFF SO FAST.....

I think if reylo had an artist that captures their aesthetic, it would be BANKS. she really gets the dark forbidden tragic romance genre perfected.

yes. his immediate answer trumps that of the second, only because of his own consistent doubt. maybe he had never put it into any words, but here they were, years late. but he doesn’t feel the question was entirely for him. Kylo never said any of it out loud but the mingling of thoughts made it as if he should have. she was contemplating, and oddly enough he feared it. feared where this was going. 

“Is it wrong to want something?”                                was it really so wrong to fear too?

maybe he doesn’t know the answer to his own question. he’s not afraid to own up to the more personal stance, reaching to rest his hand on her own. however tentative his touch may be, Kylo is merely trying not to scare her off.

                         ———-she’s cross with him. evident in more ways than one and he’s far removed from being an idiot and making it worse. and really Ben was trying his best. of course it was likely that Rey wouldn’t see it that way, but he was. really. travelling wasn’t going to be easy. not with… not with whatever the hell was going on with her. "Oh, am I?" he is truly unimpressed by her stomping off, and he’s obviously going to follow her.

“I don’t care if you don’t like how it tastes. You’re going to eat it.” he can’t make her eat the dinner, but Ben was willing to try to find a way. sure, maybe he slipped some odd powder into the… well… everything, and now it tasted less appetizing than before. it wasn’t he who was the necessary evil but the supplements. he’s trying to be crafty, and so far it hadn’t worked very well. “Rey, can you not just eat it i>for me?/i> It would be better to eat it while it’s still warm…”

well, he does and he doesn’t. at some point he is going to have to figure it out. stringing her along won’t help either of them. he doesn’t know if he is ready to ask for it, help. but if he was already losing her then what else was there to do? "I'm sorry--" he doesn’t believe that would ever really settle matters. the scales by which he makes mistakes tend to be far too large for something so small as an apology.
