MAUL SHADOW LORD SEASON 2 WISHLIST

Ok. I totally have a list of things I would like to happen (LIKE TO is the key word here. I am by no means the authority on this show.)

Honestly, I’m probably going to come up with more things so I may make this into parts

Also I am VERY curious to hear what everyone wants to see in season 2 please feel free to add or reblog.

1) If Maul gets back into his crimson dawn bag, i hope he spoils Devon a bit. (New clothes, light saber, a sick transport, goons of her own,a pet droid etc.) I want it to give “mob boss daughter” vibes. It is also a nice contrast that the story can make from her humble Jedi beginnings.

2) Rylee is definitely going to be the himbo with a heart of gold she insists on keeping for his safety, which irritates maul. Maul may or may not use him to further her darkness

3) Training scenes. Lots and lots of training scenes

4) I’d like for Ashoka to pop up for an episode. Maybe some rag tag team up where they need each other to escape and between Maul and Ashoka’s bickering Devon suspects some sort of past…Ashoka’s presence there would definitely put an interesting wrench in the development of maul and Devon’s relationship. She could also place a seed of doubt that Devon has to overcome, and it is at this point chooses to stay with Maul again, affirming her choice.

5) Maul getting spybot fixed and him reluctantly growing to like Devon (wishful thinking I know)

6) Some sort of acknowledgement from Devon about what Maul has gone through. She may develop a nagging habit at wanting to pry into his past that at first is unwelcome but dare I say, he becomes dependent on for his emotional health? Maybe a physical gesture like a (HUG??!!)

7) Maul getting a bit overprotective and pissy if Devon seems to bond with anyone other than himself. May fly into hysterics if Dryden Vos even breathes in her direction.

8) Something, given to Devon by Maul to show how proud he is over her progress and her loyalty to him. Could it be the talisman that savage wore? A new sith relic he finds and gives to her? Could be anything. It is also a physical symbol that changes form as their relationship changes (I.e breaking when they get into an argument.)

9) VERY controversial take: in turning her to the darkness he realizes although he wouldn’t let SIDIOUS manipulate anyone ever again, he sees he has done the exact same thing to Devon and dare say, he has some guilt about that?

10) Speaking of guilt, if Devon ever recalls her master fondly in a memory he will get very touchy and change the subject to deter questions. OOH and what if Daki, as a force ghost appears to Devon as her conscience and urges her to see the truth behind his death.

11) Maul in his element. He and the saber. GLORIOUS and skilled like the warrior he is. all his enemies and betrayers getting what they deserve❤️🖤

12) I want their inevitable parting scene to be tragic, heart wrenching and earth shattering.

I kinda wanna a “why is he kinda…” moment from Devon when maul decimated that AT-AT. It’s her expression and the way he looks back at her. She was probably thinking “ok…that was kinda cool…” I headcanon she was thinking that through the force and maul (who is connected with her through the force ) read her thought and started feeling himself or something. Who can blame her? He’s auditioning for the master position by aura farming.

Maul & Devon “Awe Inspiring”

a/n: I DO NOT ship Devon with Maul because she’s a minor, however I do remember being sixteen years old and having crushes/sexual realizations on adults because that’s a very normal thing to experience if you are allosexual. For this ask I kind of interpreted it a little bit through this lens, but it is not focussed on this angle as a topic. As an almost 30 y/o woman, yea that scene in particular was fucking crazy hot LMAO

The blaster fire dimmed down, just enough for Devon to pause, to focus outward, beyond the objective in front of her, which was defending the group as Maul took point and cleared the way.

She deflected another blaster shot, her master stepping close to cover her side. The two speeder troopers were taken care of, leaving only the AT-AC, and Maul.

Devon couldn’t help herself.

She felt the Force condense around Maul, his connection to it primal, ancient. His power did not stem from practiced discipline, but emotions she’d long ago learned to push aside. Emotions, feelings, that had birthed and destroyed empires, that had raised civilizations over and over again, and then burnt them to the ground. Instincts that had kept people alive for eons fed Maul’s power in the Dark side of the Force, and she felt herself pulled into that well of gravity, ever so slightly.

She felt Daki pause beside her, also noticing this pull. But unlike her, Daki could resist.

Maul Force Leapt in a graceful arc, spinning twice to build his momentum as he collided his red lightsabre against the leg of the AT-AC, the metal resisting him only momentarily, before it relinquished its strength, as all things eventually did to Maul’s command.

Devon felt awe crawl up her spine, something she hadn’t felt in so long. It had been starvation and frustration and despair for so long, desperately held at bay by her master and his hope, his faith. And now, Maul made her feel something new, something so close to true excitement it dismissed the fear she had held as they engaged in this firefight.

Without bothering to calculate his next attack, Maul trusted his skills, his talent, as he ignited his lightsabre and threw it with the Force into the body of the AT-AC, returning his weapon to his hand without even looking.

Devon tightened her jaw, feeling her brows knot together. That was strength, a kind she hadn’t seen in over a year. Another shiver of admiration ran through her. If she could do that, she wouldn’t be hungry ever again. If she could that, she could better resist the Empire, keep Daki safe, be a better Jedi!

Maul stopped for just a moment, turning his head just enough for them to see the sliver of his eye looking back at them, bidding them to follow.

Shaking herself out of whatever spell she was in, Devon followed. Was Maul aware of what he was doing? Was this how he was going to convince her to become his apprentice?

Invisible, hidden, unnoticeable, the Force connection between Maul and Devon knotted them closer. She could do nothing but respect his prowess, admire how effective he was. It was no fault of Daki, but Maul took action swiftly, thoroughly, and Devon craved that for herself, that control and surety.

As for Maul, he knew he didn’t need to look back. The moment he had Force Jumped, he had had her full attention. He had sensed it, had sensed her aspirations to not be helpless, as he cut through the leg of the walker. It was that attention, knowing she was focussed on him, that made him preen in his competence. No, he didn’t need to look where he threw his sabre. Of course, he could catch it behind his back, unseeing. As he had trusted himself in the Force, in his control over it, he had also felt her ambition, her desire to emulate him.

It was precisely what he wanted. What better way to prove the Dark side was the way to true strength and power than to demonstrate it? And, if he was not just impressive, but awe inspiring, that wouldn’t hurt either. It was in his favour to show Devon the Dark side was not merely power, but the ability to become more than she could ever be as a Jedi.

A maulsoka fic where there is tension between both Maul and Ahsoka due to the fact that they had a series of flings and Maul got attached, and wanted them to be together. But Ahsoka’s like “no dude, we just had a fling bb” and he is SALTY because he thinks they are “destiny” or whatever. Ahsoka’s not having it, and Maul gripes to anyone who would listen about Ahsoka being his ex, but Ahsoka denies they were ever together in the first place. She’s half trolling half serious. Every time they see each other through the years there is UST and bickering like an old married couple.

I personally would bathe him, massage his back and shoulders and neck and lotion him down until he falls asleep in my arms. This of course is after he is finished ugly crying and screaming in rage at what was done to him, and for all that was taken from him.

“So let me get this straight. You were ripped away from your family, tortured into training, forced to fight your masters battles, got sliced in half on your first official job. Lived in a trash heap for 10 years lost your mind, got it back, with some chicken legs…murdered innocent people. Fought your nemesis and lost, got some new legs, Took down 3-4 crime conglomerates and united them under death watch, took mandalore, got tortured AGAIN by your so called master and then watched your brother die?”

“Erm…well…if…”

“Then you realized that your old master was playing both sides, you panicked then devised a plan to draw your masters new apprentice out but got bamboozled by settling for his padawan, you tried to win over to your side, failed and LOST to her, got captured, and then freed by your captor, caused havoc and chaos and death to thousands of clones fought and lost to his padawan AGAIN….and then fucked off to this shithole planet? “

More things I wish…key word “WISH” to see.

1) I want to see Maul attempt to comfort Devon during her anguish we know she is going to have. Maybe he reaches a hand out to pat her on the head or touch a shoulder or something, and it takes a lot out of him to even attempt to do something like that…but she pushes him away….fast forward some episodes, he tries again, she won’t push him away but makes some rejecting remark. Another time, maybe after a tough love training session or some tragedy she breaks and has no choice but to accept him. It’s to show he never stops trying to connect with her.

2) I kinda want Devon and Rylee to have some teenage fun together. Devon has no concept of this. Maybe they sneak out to watch some sporting game. Maybe he (Rylee) TEACHES them how to play a game of sorts. 😆

3) I need a whiny teenage girl argument (or 2) between Devon and Maul. That she wins. So we can see he is positively WHIPPED as a girl dad.

4) Maybe Devon is too mean and she gets Maul pissed so she has to make amends with him.

5) Maul taking her to make her new red lightsaber

6) Maybe a moment when maul genuinely makes her laugh and she smiles for the first time in a long time. And he is taken aback because when had anyone ever looked at him like that before?

6.5) Rylee doing the same thing to Devon several times and Maul gets jealous (angy papa) and tries to distract her with training

7) Mutual trauma dumping where Devon realizes. Whoa ok. He’s a murderer with a point.

8) Devon attempting to point out Maul’s small tendencies for good/light that make him very uncomfortable.

9) Maul realizing he sees his own eyes through Devon. (His eyes are blue-green 💚💙) hers are green!

10) more Maul flashbacks of his youth!

11) some gambit where they have to disguise as ACTUAL Father and daughter and no one is buying it. Maul gets a bit too carried away in the role. (He says daughter too much to be casual 😆)

12) OR. A 180 with Rylee and he BLAMES Devon for what happened with his father and she tries to make him understand but he’s not having it. He leaves. And Devon tries to keep him there but Maul holds her back and says to let him go (because now he has her to himself)

13) two boots annoying the ever loving daylights out of Maul

14) A sleeping moment where Maul places a blanket over Devon while keeping watch or she shifts while sleeping upward and conks out on his shoulder and he dares not move. Sends threatening looks to anyone who dares to wake her

15) A Hug initiated by Devon. Probably after some life threatening battle. Maul is so spent he has no energy to push her away or say some dark side platitude and just accepts it. Maybe his first one ever.

BONUS: Training montage! Where Devon is excelling after a point of stagnant progress and he actually becomes proud of her. (And we can see it in his face)

Um….their bond was forged right here at this moment. I remember how Daki peeped that she couldn’t have maul send her dreams and visions without a bond. It happened quick fast.

Mind you. Her master decided to help the civilians and not her. Maul came to help her with the inquisitor 👀👀👀 like a good master would 😉

You know….if given the chance, I think Maul would be a pretty good master/father figure. Kinda along the lines of Silco with Jinx. Both Maul and Silco are both evil bastards but ‘would watch the world burn to save you’ villain types.
