every time I see someone spout 'Rey and Kylo r cousins!!11!' I can't help but think of the 90s Sailor moon english dub. where they made a lesbian couple 'cousins' to try and cover their romantic relationship. XD
People are just so damn thirsty for a family reveal. Like, I sh*t you not, two weeks ago, when 8x04 induced a trans like brain melting state and I went on dumb video reviews tour, I run into a statement about TROS' teaser that went approximately like this: I wonder who the Skywalker is. It's probably Rey. Of course it's Rey, it's always been obvious she's a Skywalker. And that would make her relationship with Kylo kind of like that between Luke and Leia.
Talk about missing a forest for the trees. I didn't have much of online life when the prequels were unfolding, but were people also speculating about Anakin and Padmé being kind of like Luke and Leia?
