Wait okay I just had a thought- So when you're doing the first Vol'jin questline in bfa, the traitor guy that you have to kill says something like "Vol'jin? You couldn't have gotten that powerful with out becoming a...." and then he trails off. What if Vol'jin is becoming a loa? What if he takes Rezan's place as the Loa of Kings?!?!

i think that’s the general consensus for vol’jin’s shadowlands fate! honestly i think vol’jin being reborn as the loa of kings is a damn great concept, but i’m not 100% on the whole loa/wild god reincarnation system so i can’t say if the timeline would check out or not. 

at the very least, that line totally means he’s starting the process to become a loa, whether a totally new one or a reincarnation of a past one. i haven’t done ardenweald on beta myself, but i’m also pretty sure there’s some stuff about vol’jin actually starting the process for becoming a loa?
