Hi! Since you're taking prompts, would you please write about Brodik? Anything you'd want to write is fine, but if you'd prefer something specific, perhaps a scenario after his story arc where he comes back to visit Trampoli, to see Raguna or Kross or anyone involved in that arc? Thanks, and looking forward to the next chapter of Like Ivy we Grow!!
ahhhh i love this prompt! thank you so much!

Brodik: No Relationship
SFW
The sound of metal hitting metal resounded through the Green Ruins. Brodik stepped back and adjusted his stance. He watched as Raguna circled, waiting for the moment he’d strike. The battle was well-worn, with the odd comfort of an old opponent, and he knew this part was vital. Both men were at their limit and the next strike would determine victory. Brodik rolled his shoulders.
“Come on with it! Let’s go!” he shouted. Raguna smiled, and charged, swinging his sword down. Brodik parried, pushing Raguna away, and swinging toward him. Too wide, he realized, left himself open, and Raguna ducked past his defenses, striking him in the side, hard.
“Oof!” Brodik hit the ground and stayed there, catching his breath. He thanked the forces that be that weapons cast with Retornen never did any real harm, since a blow like that with a training weapon would have likely broken his ribs otherwise. Raguna stood over him, offering him a hand.
“I’ll beat you someday,” Brodik swore, letting himself be pulled to his feet.
“I look forward to it,” Raguna responded with a smile. Brodik dusted himself off and grunted.
“So you gonna come over for lunch? I have some apple pie in the oven,” Raguna went on. Brodik’s stomach growled. Fighting sure worked up an appetite.
“Not this time, runt,” Brodik said, not unkindly. “I have somewhere to be.”
“Alright,” Raguna said with a shrug. “Same time next year then?”
“You know it.”
Brodik walked down the path into the open field, surveying the weeds and rocks that had accumulated since the last time he’d been there. It was gonna be some hard work.
“Mr. Brodik!” came a shout from his side. Candy and Marco came running towards him, jumping up and dangling from both of his arms.
“Hey! If it isn’t my two favorite ankle-biters!” he exclaimed, letting out a laugh.
“Didya beat Mr. Raguna this time?” Marco asked, following Candy’s lead and dropping off of his arms.
“Nah, not this time, but I got pretty close,” Brodik said, puffing out his chest.
“Ooooh! I’m sure you’ll win next time, Mr. Brodik,” Candy said. “Are you here to clean our field?”
“Of course, can’t have you guys playing in all this mess,” Brodik said. He pulled off his weapon and placed it off to the side. He thought back to the first time he had done this for the kids, as a means to drive Raguna off. They hadn’t understood his intentions at the time, but each time they had asked him if he’d help them with their field, he felt too obligated to turn them down. Now, during his annual visit, he always stopped by to lend a hand.
“Alright, who’s ready to get to work?” he asked. Marco and Candy whooped, throwing their hands into the air.
“Alright munchkins, let’s show these weeds who’s boss!”
