Eunice/Brodik: Established Relationship

Eunice hummed softly as she cooked. Brodik watched her from the kitchen door, marveling at how lucky he could be. Eunice was so sweet, so caring, and he felt he could fly every time she looked at him. They had spent the night together, a chaste thing, just sleeping beside one another and waking up in each others’ arms. Brodik swore it was something he could get used to.

“Breakfast is almost ready, darling,” Eunice called. Brodik felt his face heat.

“Wh-what did you just call me?” he asked. Eunice turned to him.

“Darling? Why should I not have?” she asked. Brodik shook his head.

“No, I mean, yes, I mean,” he stuttered. “I mean, no one’s ever called me that before. I like it.” Eunice smiled wide, skipping over to him and catching him in a warm embrace.

‘Well, sweetie, there’s more where that came from,” she said. Brodik wrapped his arms around her, blushing furiously.

“Yeah?” he said.

“Of course, honey,” she said. “Dear, love, pumpkin, schmooples...”

“Okay, now you’re just being ridiculous,” Brodik laughed. Eunice laughed with him, hugging him tight once before letting go.

“Well, breakfast is ready, hot cakes, let’s eat!” she said. Brodik laughed shaking his head. This girl was his world.

It was a hot summer day in Trampoli, and Brodik and Eunice sat on the beach, a blanket laid out on the hot sand. They shared a watermelon, Brodik seeing how far he could spit the seeds, while Eunice giggled, attempting to beat him. Brodik slid his hand in hers, and they watched the waves. In the middle of their happy day, Eunice got quiet. Brodik looked over to her, to see her face had fallen.

“What is it?” he asked, squeezing her hand. Eunice sighed.

“I just...I wish I could wear a bathing suit on the beach,” she said. Brodik looked confused. 

“Huh? Why can’t you?” he asked. She looked away, turning back to the sea.

“Well, you know,” she said, motioning to herself. Brodik shook his head, turning her face back to him.

“Hey, none of that. You are beautiful, just the way you are. I wouldn’t have you any other way,” Brodik said. Eunice smiled shyly.

“Really?” she asked. Brodik nodded.

“Really,” he said. “I think you would look amazing in a bathing suit.” Eunice chuckled.

“Well, maybe someday,” she said. “I’m not sure how I feel about it, but Brodik?”

“Yeah?” 

“Thank you,” she said, placing a kiss to his cheek. Brodik turned pink, placing a hand on his cheek and looking off to the side.

“Well, you know, you’re welcome,” he murmured. Eunice laughed, shifting closer to Brodik and leaning her head on his shoulder. They spent the rest of the day on the beach, enjoying each other’s company and the sound of waves lapping the sand.

since you're still taking fluff prompts how about Eunice giving a sweater to Brodik that she made when she heard he had no winter clothes (pre relationship).

Brodik/Eunice: Pre-Relationship

Eunice walked down the path from the town plaza, a small bundle in her hands. The icy air turned her breaths into clouds as she walked, humming a small tune to herself. She clutched the bundle closer to herself. She sure hoped he liked it.

As she approached Brodik’s house, she hesitated, hoping her present wasn’t too forward. She swallowed hard before rapping on the door. She heard a shuffling, a thud, and a curse, before the door was opened, Brodik standing in the threshold looking frazzled. He just about shouted, until he saw her, then bit his tongue. 

“Uh, hello?” he said, looking down at her. Eunice smiled.

“Hello, Mr. Brodik,” she said brightly. “How are you today?” Brodik blinked.

“I’m doing alright I guess,” he mumbled, rubbing his bare arms. “No one mentioned how cold it gets here. I would have packed better.” Eunice brightened.

“About that,” she said. “I’ve brought you something.” Brodik perked up, looking down to the bundle in her arms.

“Something for me?” he asked. Eunice nodded, holding up her gift.

“It’s a sweater! You mentioned the other day you were cold, so I knitted one for you.” She handed the sweater to him, and he ran his fingers over the stitches. 

“You knitted this...for me?” Brodik said, his voice softening.

“Mmhmm! I hope it keeps you plenty warm,” Eunice said. Brodik looked back at her.

“I...thank you,” he said. Eunice waved her hand.

“Don’t mention it. I have to get back to work now, but feel free to stop by if you’d like,” she told him. “Goodbye!” 

As she walked away, Brodik marveled at the gift. He lifted it up, pulling it on over his head. It was warm, and smelled sweetly, smelled like Eunice. He breathed in, catching himself as his heart beat faster. He shook his head, closing the door. If he stopped by the bar that night, well, he told himself it had nothing to do with the girl.

Reader/Brodik: One-Sided Attraction

Brodik leans on a tree as you pass by. You avert your eyes, walking past as though he wasn’t there. He shouts your name, but you ignore him, until he catches up with you, blocking your path.

“Hey there,” he says, obviously trying to act casual. You stare him down.

“Brodik,” you say. He crosses his arms.

“So,” he says, “I’ve seen you around. I can’t help but notice you, and I was wondering, well, if you’d like to meet me at the bar later tonight?” You stare at him a moment before barking out a laugh.

“Aren’t you the one that filled Raguna’s shipping box with rocks?” you ask. He fumbles over his words, spilling out wasn’t me’s and excuses but you roll your eyes.

“I’m sorry, but I don’t hang out with creeps that hurt my friends,” you say. He looks shocked, and you try to pass him, but he stops you.

“What so that’s it?” he asks. You stare him down.

“That’s it, now if you’d kindly stop blocking my path, I would appreciate it.” You leave him there, feeling no remorse in your anger. For all you care he can rot. Brodik slowly walks back home, a slump to his steps. You finish your errands, and go home, barely thinking on what had transpired, though you do tell Raguna later the next day and the two of you share a laugh. In Trampoli, you’ve learned, a person’s friends are all that matter.

I don't know if you write headcanons but if you do could I please request some for the Rune Factory Frontier boys and how they act around the person they have romantic feelings for? If that's too many people can I just ask for headcanons for Kross and Brodik then? Thank you

i do write headcanons! just gonna do kross and brodik

Kross: gets quieter (if that possible,) tends to doubt himself and put himself down further, would rarely be the one to make the first move, still wants to be near the other person, but could put himself at such an emotional distance that his feelings could seem to be a paradox

Brodik: loud, open, and ready to put himself out there. he falls hard and sometimes it gets his heart broken but he’s not one to deny himself the possibility of romance unless it negatively affects his work
