Now that a day has passed since Kathryn Hahn was confirmed as Mother Gothel and the post-excitement buzz has begun to subside a little in me, I have realised something else that, if it comes to pass (as would be logical and normal), adds to the hype.

For English-speaking audiences, gaining Kathryn Hahn means sadly losing Donna Murphy. But for people in other parts of the world, it means… what?

In my case (Spain) I take it for granted (and hope I don't get any unpleasant surprises) that we will have the opportunity to hear a new version of the song by the wonderful Celia Vergara, the singing voice for Mother Gothel in the animated version of “Tangled” in Castillian Spanish… someone who, in my opinion, gave us an even more dramatic diva (and, daresay, cuntier) Mother Gothel than Donna Murphy herself. I know, I know… difficult (a heresy even!), but within the realm of subjectivity, nothing is impossible!. Here is the proof, and if you think it necessary, you can always leave a comment to insult me question my judgement… 🤭

In short: it made me happy to realise that, in all likelihood, I'm in for a second round of this at the cinema (and I also like how it would pair with Kathryn 🤗🤗🤗)
