i had thought it was pretty straight-forward? but when you see me reblog pro-recovery posts it's always in the sense that recovery =/= cure or being as neurotypical as possible or something. imo "recovery" is learning healthy coping mechanisms so you can live with your neurodivergency as happily or okay...y as possible. that looks different on everyone cause everyone's brains are different, and everyone's capacity to do stuff is different.
so like, when i rb posts talking abt people who are anti-recovery, i'm not talking abt people who want to recover but don't know how to/don't have access to the resources they need to recover; i'm referencing ppl who actively mock ppl for trying to be ok with themselves or act like legitimate advice from other nd people is some nt trying to “cure you”, + as a result acting like that person is so terrible and insensitive for trying to share something that helps them feel better in hope that it helps someone else
