Court of Calm Chaos - Chapter 2
Summary: Lilith Archeron is the youngest sister, the smart one. The one who with Feyre kept her family going. What happened after she was made, when Feyre left to spring Court
Warnings: Nesta and Elain being bad sisters, one or two curse words, character in coma state?(I really don't know how to do warnings)
Author's Note: Hii , sorry for the delay, work has been hectic. So I always wondered what happened in the Night Court when Feyre was in Spring in book 3. Here is my first viewpoint, I might do another chapter on these lines (Feyre being in spring and all). This chapter is more towards building relations.Again thanku for your support, hope you guys enjoy !
Any comments are welcome!
Prologue Chapter 1
Rhysand walked into a chamber in the healing palace. “High Lord” Madja began to rise, he stopped her
He walked up to the bed “Is she going to be alright?” He said, shadows near Liith’s feet caught his attention. He visited Azriel before. The shadowsinger looked alright, but he knew his brother, knew that guilt was eating him alive, and what happened to Feyre’s sisters, well, Azriel was blaming himself for that, because of his position in the court. But Rhysand didn’t blame him; what Hybern did was unpredictable
“Did you send them?” he spoke in Azriel’s mind. “No” came an immediate response. “They are not listening to me” Azriel's voice came after some time.
“Her body is adjusting” Madja declared “I ran a few tests, and well” She looked to Rhysand, her face solemn “I would like to discuss that with you” Rhysand nodded

Lilith sat atop the highest tree, gazing at the sky, a smile on her face. She was here for a long time, somewhere deep, she knew this wasn’t real, but this place was so beautiful. With grassy hills and tall trees, but she felt something missing, no, it was someone missing. She didn’t think so much about it, and she climbed down the tree and jumped onto the grassy plain. As she walked, she felt a cooling sensation, which was new cause ever since she got here, she hadn’t felt anything, even when the wind blew.
Lilith’s eyebrows furrowed as she looked down at her feet. They were normal, but something had changed. There was a dark film to them. A shadow, she thought. She inspected her body, she noticed an area around her waist was darker than the rest, and on her wrist too. She ignored them, for now.

Cassian woke up to voices. He opened his eyes to see Mor, Rhysand, and he sighed in relief as he saw Azriel sitting. He grunted as he sat up and grinned, “You're not getting rid of me that easily” Mor slapped his arm, “OW!” Cassian exclaimed
“I didn’t even hit you that hard” Mor gaped “I’m bruised” Cassian replied
A throat cleared as they all looked at the doorframe “I see you are alright” Madja said, walking in
“How can I not be, when you're here, Madja?” He said, smiling at her as she sat next to him
She began scanning “You are lucky” She took in Cassian’s expression and shook her head “A lucky fool” Mor and Rhysand laughed
“And you” She glared at the shadowsinger “You should be resting” Azriel snuck into his seat, cheeks flushed
Mor clapped her hands “Madja, let these three catch up, I want to come with you to check up on Lily”
Azriel lifted his brow, and Cassian had a confused look “Liliy?” - “What is she doi”-
“All would be said in time” Rhysand cut Cassian off
Cassian looked outside the window “How is she?”
Rhysand sighed, “As fine as she can be” Cassian didn’t need to say the name “Being strong” Rhysand paused “For Elain”
Cassian let out a long breath, and looked at his brothers “Why is Liliy here?” He noticed Azriel stiffening at that
Rhysand’s expression went grim “I wouldn’t expect you and Azriel to remember this, but” he paused contemplating how to tell his brothers “When Lilith got out of the cualdron I already felt her power” he ran his fingers through his hair “When Nesta came out” “I-it was like a trigger to her” He put his head down “Her power lashed out, any of Hybern soldiers went flying, we don't know what it is” - “Feyre took that opportunity to decive Tamlin and the rest but, Lilith she burntout and fainted ”
Azriel spoke up for the first time, “Did the burnout cause her to be here like this?”
Rhysand looked at him, sadness on his face “Madja” - “She ran some tests, and found out that as a human, Lilith was dying” Azriel’s mouth opened in horror “She had a rare blood disease, from what I’m told. But the good news is Madja thinks her body is slowly getting better, although a few traces are still there” - “When Lilith was made, it changed her completely” He gave a small smile to Azriel “She will be alright, we just need to give it time”
“Well” Cassian began “I think Az and I are both good to go from here” he put his legs on the ground, about to get up
“Sit your ass down” Rhysand ordered “You both are not going anywhere until Madja clears you” Cassian opened his mouth “Take it as an order from your High Lord” Rhysand cut him off.
Cassian mumbled words, while Azriel stood up and left without a word.

Azriel walked into Lilith’s room, glad to see that nobody was there. He didn't know what he was doing in her room, but the thought of her being alone, even unconscious, didn’t sit right with Azriel. So he sat on the chair next to bed, and tugged, tugged at that beautiful threat he felt while she was still in caulron, he held on to that, You are strong, You’ll be alright, I’ll wait he sent those thoughts to Lilith down the bond that only he could feel, hoping somehow she would hear them.
𓆩༺✧༻𓆪
Lilith knew she was alone in this place, but for the first time, she was feeling lonely. It shocked her because she knew Feyre was alright, her father would be too, her other sisters, well, she didn’t want to think about them right now. She stood at the edge of the tree truck, and snapped her head back at the small, oddly familiar voice that almost seemed to come from within her I’ll wait.
She started pacing, the voice rattling her, she knew it was the same voice she heard in the Cauldron, Come back to me; She didn’t forget those words, what they meant, but who was calling her and why? She took a long, deep breath, closed her eyes and finally acknowledged the things that brought her here. Getting kidnapped, being submerged in the cauldron, seeing Nesta, who looked like their mother the most, getting pulled out of the cauldron, her veins heated up again at the thought of the image, just like it did in Hybern, and then she was here. No, she wouldn’t be here; she had to leave from here; she had to help.
𓆩༺✧༻𓆪
“You know that your sisters are a handful, even for me” Mor was sitting on the chair next to Lilith “And I’m over 500 years old”
“I know” came Lilith’s small, rough voice
Mor gasped in surprise, “By the Mother, you're awake!” she grinned “Let me get Madja”
Lilith weakly sat up, she felt fine, stronger actually, despite being in a near-coma state for, how long she was like that anyway? She took the water from the side table and chugged it. She blinked, looking at her hand to find a thin tendril of shadow on her wrist, slowly removing itself and floating away outside the door, she gaped.
She was about to follow it when an old female appeared in the room, Mor behind her “It is so good to see you awake, Lilith” Madja said, coming and sitting beside her bed, “Alright, now I’m going to do a check up, are you okay with that?” Lilith nodded, still wondering what that shadow was.
Madja placed her warm, glowing hands on Lilith’s body. “I would like to inform you that, while you were unconscious, I did a few tests” Lilith’s spine straightened, wondering if Madja knows what her condition is. Lilth's thought was written on her face because Madja gave an understanding look to her and nodded. Lilith took an audible breath.
“Well, Lilith, I’m happy to say that your body is recovering” Madja paused and leaned forward “In more ways than you might expect” A small smile dawned on the healer, while Lilith’s brows furrowed in confusion.
Mor clapped her hands “So she can leave?” she asked Madja.
“Well, I would like to keep her for another day, just for precaution” Madja said “I’ll take my leave now, I think the High Lord and the two reckless Illyrians would like to know that you're awake” Madja announced, walking towards the door and leaving
Mor squealed and sat next to Lilith “So, how are you feeling?” Lilith didn't know how to answer that. She was happy, confused, worried, and many other things, but she said
“Hungry”

Azriel was over the moon when the shadows came back to him and whispered that she was awake. He wanted to run to Lilith, wanted to hold her and not let go, but he didn’t do any of that. Instead, he walked into Cassian's room, as his brother was devouring the plate of food like there was no tomorrow.
Azriel sat on the chair, Cassian's brow raised up “Is everything alright?” Cassian said with a mouth full of chicken and rice
Azriel nodded. He didn’t know how to explain to Cassian that he was fighting every nerve in his body that told him to go to Lilith’s room
He cleared his throat “I was just bored” he said as calmly as possible
Both of Cassian's brows rose “And that’s bullshit”
Azriel didn’t respond “She is awake” came Mor’s voice. Azriel glanced at the door as she came in, grinning
“Who, Liliy?” Cassian assumingly said, glancing at Azriel, as the latter tried to maintain his poker face, but his brother saw the small tilt on his lips
Mor nodded enthusiastically, while Cassian stood from his bed “We should go see her”
Both of them headed towards the door, while Azriel remained seated, looking at his hands. “Az,” Cassian’s voice came. Azriel met his brother's gaze, and looked back at his hands “You can’t hide forever” Azriel knew it was more than his scarred hands that Cassian spoke about
Azriel stood up “I know she’ll be happy to see you” Mor said, reassuring him, as they walked into Lilith’s room.
𓆩༺✧༻𓆪
Lilith was feeling happy that people came to check up on her. Mor had told Cassian and Azriel, three of them walking in while Lilith was stuffing her face with food. She was embarrassed by how they saw her. Cassian had welcomed her back and grinned ear to ear, and Azriel gave her a small smile and stood by the foot of the bed. They were chatting, well, mostly Mor and Cassian, asking her how she felt, letting her know that things are alright, telling her where they were right now. Mor, promising her to take her shopping. Lilith asked a few questions that were in her mind, but she couldn’t help but notice the male leaned on the wall at the foot of the bed, shadows curling his arm, same as the one she saw on her wrist, but bigger ones. And his hands, Lilith hoped she didn't show it on her face, as she took note of the scars. The gloves he wore the other times she saw him made sense to her now.
She looked up at him “So you control shadows?” Azriel straightened and nodded. He tried to keep his shadows hidden, but a few didn’t listen
He looked at Lilith “That’s a very interesting ability” Lilith told him, smiling, knowing the shadow she saw earlier was one of his.
“Well, it’s useful too for a spymaster” Cassian chimed in
Lilith eye eyebrows furrowed; she didn’t know the roles of everyone, well, that was another question she had to ask.
“Well, would you look at that, everyone is here” Rhysand said by the door
Lilith gave a small wave at the High Lord, walking inside the room “Welcome back” Rhysand said “You got us worried there, Lilith” Lilith's cheeks flushed
The High lord clapped Cassian’s shoulder “Well, I have good news for all three of you” He paused for dramatic effect “You all are clear to go by tomorrow” - “But, Cass, you need to be careful with your wings and Az same for you, but also magic”
Mor scoffed, “As if these two will listen” Rhysand sighed
He looked towards Lilith “And for you, Madja didn’t warn me about anything” - “But I suggest taking one step at a time”
Knowing what he meant, “I know Rhysand” Lilith sighed “I remember” She gave a sad smile

The House of Wind was hauntingly beautiful, high up in the sky. Lilith stood on the huge balcony, taking in the wind and the scenery, and she smiled.
“Are you ready to meet them?” Rhysand's voice came from behind. Lilith looked at him and nodded. She didn’t know what would happen when she met her sisters; she just hoped it would be normal, or as normal as it could be between them.
Lilith stood in the living room, taking in where Elain stood near the window, while Nesta sat in the armchair, she looked around the room and noticed Feyre’s absence. Lilith cleared her throat, Nesta looked first, and Lilith gave a small wave.
Something changed in Nesta’s expression, some sort of relief in her expression, as she stood up and walked towards Lilith. She was a fierce beauty as a human, but as a fae, Nesta looked as if even death would bow at her feet. Nesta stood in front of Lilith and hugged her.
Lilith didn’t remember when her oldest sister had embraced her like this, probably when their mother passed away, but Lilith welcomed it anyway, tears gathering in her eyes; she was slightly taller than her sister, but Lilith felt like the small child again. They broke the hug, Lilith glanced at Elain and then Nesta, tilting her head up, Nesta just shook her head.
Lilith walked towards her second-oldest sister, looking out the window. She heard her mummer few things, she could only make out death and will, in that sentence. She placed a hand on Elain’s shoulders and turned her around, facing her. Elain’s face was horrid, Lilith couldn’t understand what to do, so she repeated Nesta’s actions and hugged Elain. She returned it with weak arms.
𓆩༺✧༻𓆪
Lilith was sitting in a room with looked fairly like a make-shift office with a table, and few chairs, but also a few boxes on the side. Rhysand handed her a glass of water, and she said her thanks.
“That went shockingly normal” Rhysand said, sitting in front of the table. Lilith nodded
“I wasn’t expecting that” Lilith confessed
Rhysand took a glass of amber coloured liquid for himself “I know there are alot of things to be said, and I’m sure you have several questions” He paused taking a sip “Before all that I would like to inform you that Feyre is gone to the spring court” Lilith’s eyes widen in shock “As a spy, for us” - “She will be back” Rhysand gave her a reassuring look
Lilith placed the glass on the table “I do have a lot of questions” Rhysand's mouth tilted up
And then they began, Lilith needing to know everything about Hybern and what happened there, about the possibilities of the war, what happened to her sisters, and her, about Feyre, how she was, about this court. Each answer from Rhysand made the pile of questions in her mind grow
A knock came from the door “Come in” Rhysand replied
A tiny, about 5 feet tall female, with black hair, walked in “Rhysand” she said in a way of greeting. She saw Lilith, and met her gaze, her eyes were glowing orbs of silver, but Lilith didn’t back down, she eyed the female like she had before, assessing her
“Lilith, this is Amren, my second in command” came Rhysand's voice from the background
Amren just smirked, “So you are the youngest” Lilith didn’t budge; she just narrowed her gaze
Rhysand clapped her hands “Well, Amren” he looked up at the female and raised a brow
“Rhysand, we need to train the eldest” She glanced at Lilith “And from what I can feel, even this one here”
“I have already told you I’m not going to force them to do anything” Rhysand began
“You know war is going to come, these two need to be prepared” Amren interrupted
A few things began to make sense to Lilith now. The cauldron had given her and her sisters something, but what, she had know idea. But if war was coming to where her family stayed, Lilith stood up “Alright” she declared
“Ah, I see the youngest is the smartest” Amren said
“Lilith, you just got back from the healing palace” Rhysand protested
“I’m not saying I’ll train right away” Lilith said calmly, “But I will” She looked at Amren “But not by her” - “When Nesta is ready, she would be perfect for her”
Amren's brows raised up, “Mor can teach me” Lilith said. There was something about Mor that Lilith knew she could trust.
“I know Mor can come off as friendly and helpful” Rhysand began “But when it comes to training, she can be the toughest” - “She is a member of my court, whom I’ll call when my armies fail and Cassian and Azriel are not able to fight”
Lilith nodded, knowing that the female was strong, but this “If she is willing” she said “Then, I’ll train with her” with that, Lilith left the room.
𓆩༺✧༻𓆪
Lilith was feeling guilty, guilty that she didn’t dislike being a fae, the way it was done was horrible, and she still got nightmares about that night. But, this was the most alive she had felt; she was thinking this while walking in the streets of Velaris with Mor and Cassian. She was getting bored with her mind; she was not ready to train yet, and it seemed like the moment with her sisters was a one-time thing, because after that day, it was back to the normal she knew. She tried to help out Elain and Nesta, asking her to join for a walk in the city, or do anything really, but the latter spoke for both of them, and told her to leave them alone.
“Now this is the palace of Thread and Jewels” Mor said, pointing at the endless rows of shops
Mor led them to, and Lilith's eyes widened at the sheer quantity of options “You need clothing” Mor said, looking at the racks of shirts
Lilith didn’t know how to tell the female that she had no money to pay for anything, maybe the hesitation was written on her face
“It’ll be on Rhysie’s tab” Cassian said, smiling at Lilith “You are family now”
𓆩༺✧༻𓆪
They were sitting at an outdoor cafe, enjoying the weather of Velaris. Mor and Cassian were talking about random topics.
“So” Mor began “Rhys had a very interesting conversation with me” Mor looked at Lilith, raising her perfect arched brow
Lilith snuck into her seat “What about?” Cassian said, looking at her
Mor smirked, “Just that Lilith here wants me to train her” Cassian choked on his coffee
“Are you out of your mind?” Cassian looked at Lilith “She is the worst, you’ll be better off with Azriel or even Amren” Lilith's cheeks flushed at the mention of him. To tell she missed the spymaster was an understatement
Mor gave a vicious grin “She was told that, yet” she met Lilith’s gaze, glint in her eyes
Lilith sat straight “Yes, I want you to train me” She told Mor “If it is okay with you”
She looked at Cassian “And Rhysand told me what can be expected” - “I am okay with it” she paused “If Mor, who is the most strict, teaches me, then I’ll have the discipline that it takes, to not only control whatever powers I have but hopefully help in the war” Lilith voice went small at the end
Cassian’s eyes softened “Nobody will force you to do anything, Lily” Lilith nodded, meeting Cassian’s gaze; she saw something like appreciation and pride in them.
Lilith sighed, “I know I’m not ready now” It was the truth; she had to speak with Madja first, “But I know I will be” - “Soon” Lilith added
𓆩༺✧༻𓆪
Lilith stood in the kitchen, seeing a helper, Nuala, she recalled, come back with full dinner plates again. She asked Naula to help her out, asked for some particular ingredients, she wasn’t a great cook, maybe a good one, and she knew what her sisters liked; as she began making them a meal
“This” Lilith pointed at the plate with fish “Is for Nesta” and this, she took the soup and bread “It’s for Elain”
It was late, everyone had gone to sleep, but Lilith was restless in her chambers, so she went to the training grounds. Cassian had shown her this place when she had told him and Mor about training. She took in the big ground, the weapons on the corner and some mats. She walked barefoot on the grass, liking the cool sensation. She looked up, seeing the starry sky.
“Are you going to climb trees again?” His voice came from behind
Lilith turned and looked at Azriel “Maybe” she said, shrugging her shoulders
Lilith noticed the tight leathers he wore, showing every muscle, her heartbeat increased. Azriel walked towards her, a small smile on his face. His shadows left his side and circled Lilith “I’m sorry” Azriel said “They are not listening”
Lilith shook her head as she saw the trendrils circling her “You don’t need to apologise” she paused “They seem nice and friendly” She played with the shadow that was on her wrist, bouncing it from one hand to another
Azriel was shocked; he had never heard anyone saying his shadows were friendly, deathly, yes, but he thought they would be different for her. Because she was well-
“But I have a few questions for you” Lilith said, looking at him,
Azriel gave a curious look. He sat on the ground “I’m all ears” Lilith sat down next to him, smiling.
He had answered almost every question, but surprisingly, Lilith didn’t ask about his hands, nor did she stare at them like most did. She was hesitant at first, but each answer made her excited to ask more questions. From how he became a member, to how his powers worked and why he was called a shadowsinger. It was fairly straightforward, except when she blurted out a question which Azriel thought she mightn’t want to ask
“Why does your voice sound familiar to me?” Lilith slapped a hand on her mouth
The answer was on the tip of Azriel's tongue, Because I’m your mate, Because I spoke to you when you were in the cauldron and when you were unconscious, and I think you heard me, Because I can’t control staying away from you, Beacause I need you to stay by my side.
But he just laughed it off, saving Lilith from the embarrassment he knew she felt, “Now I have a question for you” Azriel changed the topic,
“I was told you want to train” he paused “With Mor of all the people” His voice was full of surprise and worry
Lilith's eyebrows furrowed “Yes, it is true” - “I don’t know why everyone is so worried about it”
“Because Mor is vicious” Azriel replied, his voice becoming serious “She won’t hold back”
Lilith held her head high “And that’s exactly what I want”
Azriel masked his worry for his mate; he would talk to Mor, tell her the truth if it meant she held back a little. He sighed and slowly nodded.
𓆩༺✧༻𓆪
Lilith's knees hit the ground as her vision became blurry, the morning sun hitting her eyes, a knife came at her throat “And you're dead” Mor said
They had begun their training after Lilith went to see Madja, asking her not only what she meant the last time, but also asking if it was okay for her to train. Madja confirmed that her disease, when made, was slowly leaving her system, but it was not completely gone. And warned her not to push her body. That was not likely when she was training with Mor, like everybody warned, the female, who outside this ground was helpful, friendly and all smiles, didn’t hold back. They had mind-shielding lessons, hand-to-hand, and practising with training swords. Lilith wasn’t able to summon her powers just yet. She had asked why the shielding was necessary, and to Lilith's surprise, found out the powers of a Daemati, the gift possessed by Feyre and Rhysand. Lilith wondered if the High Lord ever used his gift on her.
“I think we should stop here” Mor declared “It’s time for breakfast”
Lilith limped into the house; it had become the new normal for her. She reached the dining table and heard a whistle.
“I told you she is ruthless” Cassian said, joining her at the table
The magic of the house set a plate of eggs and fruit in front of Cassian and Lilith “I know” Lilith murmured. The rest of the meal was in silence.
𓆩༺✧༻𓆪
Hurt and anger flooded in her veins as she took Nesta’s words. Yes, she had started training and was getting better with each lesson, but for her sister to tell her she was not being considerate of Elain and her, because why was she trying to live? Not waste away? Trying to help the people who basically clothed and fed them every day. Not considerate? Even after having all the lessons with Mor, she managed to cook for her sisters, because they weren’t eating properly, and even taught Naula and Cerridwen the dishes they liked. No, she was not having this, not anymore
She yanked Nesta’s arms “Now you listen to me” Lilith’s voice was deadly calm
“I’m not going to let this second chance at life go away” “Yes, I know what happened to ALL THREE of us was beyond horrible” Lilith began “You two aren’t the only ones who have nightmares about the cauldron” She let go of Nesta’s hand with force
“What, why should I waste away? If that’s what only you two are capable of right now?” The lights in the room began to flutter
“Do you even know how bad it was for me when I was human?” Lilith saw a faint light at the edges of her vision
“The answer is no, cause even after the cottage, where you and Elain didn’t lift a finger, and your 8 and 10-year-old sisters, had to hunt, for the princesses, you both think you are” - “When I was sick, you didn’t visit me once, not once” The show piecies and furnitures in the room started rattling
“I WAS DYING” - “Sister” that word was said with scarctic venom “You didn’t check on me once, not once, the nights of horrible pain I went through” Lilith pointed at her chest “I went through those, not you, not Elain, me and alone, again” The lights began flickering more, and the couple of vases flew by
“So I’m not sorry at all to take this chance at living” - “And I will live, and you” Lilith's fingers began to form thin silver currents “You can not tell me what I should and shouldn’t do”
Darkness wrapped around Lilith’s body, as a hand came to her shoulders, and then nothing.
𓆩༺✧༻𓆪
There were very few things that terrified the spymaster of the Night Court, but seeing his mate hurt and seeing her lose control. It started with the lights flickering; he had sent a few shadows towards her, but it didn’t seem to do anything. The wounds his mate had carried were bursting open.
“Do something” He sent the thought to Rhysand
“I’m alert, Az, but it’s best that all this comes out of her system”, Rhysand replied after two heartbeats
Vases flew from one side to another, and he noticed Lilith’s hands
“Rhys, her hands, this will turn very ugly very quickly”, Azriel said,
Rhysand cocooned Lilith with darkness, placed a hand on her shoulder, broke through her shield, and put Lilith to sleep.
𓆩༺✧༻𓆪
Lilith opened her eyes. She knew two things: one, she was not in her room, and second, she had unknowingly used her power; how, she didn’t know. She heard familiar voices. She sat up to see Mor and Rhysand, the former rushing towards her
“Lily, are you alright?” Lilith nodded
“Where are we?” Lilith questioned
“At The Town House” Rhysand replied, “I’m sorry”
Lilith's brows furrowed “I had to interwine” Rhysand began “I broke through your shields, and well, put you to sleep” Lilith gaped
“Do you remember anything?” Mor asked, concerned, lining her features
Lilith nodded slowly, after a tense pause, she told, “I was angry and I know I used my powers” her voice was rough “I don’t know how, though” she said in a small voice.
Rhysand and Mor looked at each other. It was Mor who said, “Would you like to know?”
Lilith snuck a too-short breath; she didn’t want to, but she had to know. So she nodded again, and Mor told her what had happened.
Lilith looked at her fingers, which seemed normal “Currents, you said?”
Rhysand nodded, “They were threads off magic” - “Two times” he paused “Your powers showed up two times, both of those times you were overwhelmed”
“Magic” Mor began “It has a connection to the holder's emotions”
“But I do know how to control my emotions” Lilith replied, with a confused look
Rhysand gave her a solemn look “Yes you can, but there are few which you suppress, and that are two different things, Lilith” his voice was gentle
Lilith took in the news; she already knew that, and it was true that the hurt she felt ran too deep. She collected her thoughts,
“I’d like not to stay at the same house as them” Lilith said, meeting Rhysand’s gaze
“Done” Rhysand replied
“And I want to continue my training” He hesitated but nodded

Cassian was beyond disappointed, not at the youngest sister but the older ones who were before him. He didn’t talk to them as he picked up a block of twisted metal from the floor. What Lilith did here today was powerful, too powerful, and untamed. He glared at a pale-faced Nesta comforting a sobbing Elain. He had wanted to help them, wanted to help Nesta as best as she would allow him. Stayed near enough to have her lean on him on the hard days.
But what Lilith told haunted him, although he already knew half of it. But these two, to not even check on their sister, who kept them alive. He couldn’t stay here, so he packed up a few things from his room and left.
